Watch arrived dead! My first Invicta disappointment! I have read of others having such issues, but up until now I'd been happy on every Invicta I'd ever ordered, so this was a let down, especially since it was going to cap off my little collection, finally adding a Subaqua as a very rugged looking "on the beach" kind of piece that highlights the yellow dragon prominently on the strap.

Seller suggested taking it for battery service (which he would reimburse) but since I didn't know why it wasn't working (he said it was working when he put it in the mail) that seemed a scary path to embark upon, since I have learned, of late, that Invicta seems to be suffering from periodically fatal quality control issues, and customer service potentially does not exist.

Seller was GREAT to then accept a return, and I'm sure my refund will proceed smoothly.

On a side note, just in handling it, before noting it was dead, I'd say the watch felt much more cheap than other Invictas I have, the strap and function buttons seeming to feel very flimsy, so maybe the quality is indeed slipping down steadily, as some have said, but such would be very sad-- this is the brand that got me into loving watches, so it's too bad to see them putting out defective products, not standing behind repairs, and seeming to be deliberately fostering an awful reputation.

This experience has moved me on from this brand, unfortunately. Despite a recent Invicta purchase that DID go great, it just isn't worth playing "Quality Roulette" with purchases of several hundred dollars, so I've likely ordered my last Invicta.

Seeking to move up to better Swiss Made brands, priced within reach, I tried a Tissot, and wasn't impressed -- current Invictas I own are as good, or even nicer. I was fortunate to find Certina, and in that brand I have discovered the absolute joy of owning a REAL Swiss Made watch. I finally understand how much better a watch can be and the higher cost was definitely more than worth it!

Maybe this one was just a lemon, or somehow the battery died in transit, I don't know, but, given the level of complaints against this brand, it seems, at best, it's a crap shoot as to what you'll receive, on ordering.

Can't recommend.... :(
