I thought this was a really good book. Johnson wrote about women who are trying to make a name for themselves, but who still want to fall in love and have successful relationships with men and with each other. I thought it was cute that the three old women who owned the cottage they were renting were actually three young brothers, one of whom was quite uninterested in dealing with out-of-towners. The magical aspect of the story was an interesting twist that I did not see coming.
Overall, a very good story. This is good for chick lit readers, especially fans of Jill Mansell, Carole Matthews, or Lucy Diamond. It's also good for those who are just looking for an easy, light read.
It started quite slow and at first I struggled to keep reading and actually did put id down for a couple of days but then I decided to continue reading it. I'm glad that I kept reading it because midway through the book the story finally started to get more interesting.
