Descripción del producto

Players sound out the letter on their cards, match it to the beginning sound of a picture on the gameboard, then place a chip there. Each card features a letter of the alphabet in upper and lower case. Colored squares on the cards and gameboard help with faster recognition. When you have 4 of your chips in a row, you've got a Sequence! Kids will have fun playing the great game of Sequence while learning the letters of the alphabet. Dot your ¡®i's' and cross your ¡®t's'...it's the Sequence way to learn your ABC's!

I really really REALLY wanted to like this game. I think the concept is great but the execution was sloppy. When I originally saw this game online I appreciated the self-correcting color coordinating letters to help narrow down choices for beginners BUT upon receiving the game several of the colors don't even match. The board contains colbalt blue squares yet the cards are purple! How is that even helpful?!?! Green and yellow are also off but not nearly as bad as blue/purple. The blue/purple combo was the more blantant mess up but all the colors should match almost exactly so the fact it doesn't is just sloppy! As another reviewer commended they could've been more clear with their choice of pictures as well. Is it a plane or airplane? Is it lava or a volcano? Is it candy or jar? These I can forgive since it does require the child to think a little (although for a beginner which would probably be using this game they should've avoided confusion) but the color mistake is simply unacceptable! I had such high hopes and was severely disappointed. Makes some simple color corrections and my rating would be 4 stars or more.

Very disappointed in this game. Unlike the children's animal Sequence game, this one only has enough chips for 3 people to play individually. My son is in preschool and learning his letters (knows most of them), so we thought this would be a great learning game but fully expected to have to help him. The purpose of the game is to use a letter card to match to an image on the board (i.e. U for Umbrella), however several letters share the same color. L, M, Q, and P (as a completely random example) will all come in purple so you have to look through the board at all of the purple spaces and decide which one fits your letter. Even as an adult, it takes me several seconds - almost a minute to find the images that correlate with the letter in hand. Would have been much better if each letter was assigned it's own color.

Fairly good game. We have the original kids sequence game which is well loved in our house. This game was easy enough to figure out, though it had some minor issues with the design and packaging.

Cons:
The colors did not match the cards and the board exactly.
There are only 3 sets of colored chips. We had to borrow one from our other sequence game to have a 4 player game. The instructions mention having a 4th player but don't include the chips for them. I find that strange.
Some letters share the same color. That was a little confusing at first but we got the hang of it after a few rounds.
The board looked like it was going to break soon into our using it. Some of the edges aren't very strong and I will be using packaging tape to secure them before we break it.

Pros:
The chip colors are really nice.
It's helping build my children's reading skills. Even my 3 year old is picking up on it!
The kids love playing it.

A step up from Sequence For Kids .
Having a kiddo on the autism spectrum we purchase a lot if board games for him . I was excited that I hadn't run across this one . He's outgrown Sequence For Kids which was a favorite of ours during therapy sessions . This is educational and engaging . Great for special needs and typical kiddos .
We are still enjoying this since I gave it to him for the holidays last year .
I will see if you've added any new games that he might enjoy this holiday season , but I wanted to personally thank you for creating such great games .

1.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Not helpful for learning phonics sounds 31 de diciembre de 2015

I bought this as a fun way to review the letter sounds with my daughter to get her ready for her phonics. We have a few other sequence games and love them. This was a HUGE disappointment because the pictures that match up with the letters do not start with the letter's typical sound. For example, G has giraffe - that's a really hard one for young readers or pre-readers to get! Almost every letter does this. It makes it very hard to find the right pictures - harder than the adult versions of the game!
