5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Let Us Now Praise Kershaw 24 de julio de 2014

I'm writing not only to praise this knife, but also the company that makes it - and the several other Kershaw folding knives I own and have given as gifts.

The knife speaks for itself. It's light, but substantially built. The Speed Safe mechanism steals the show as an opening system - it's simply the best one-handed opening of any folding knife out there that's legal.

The edge - as nearly every reviewer will tell you - comes sharp as you'd ever want it to be. Anything sharper would be a wire-edge and too fragile to live.

It's one hell of a lot of tool for the money.

Here's what slays me: their customer service. As is well known, Kershaw backs their knives against failures of workmanship and materials. It's also known that they will sharpen your knife whenever you send it to them, whether or not it's for warranty service.

But here's an example of a customer service attitude that rocks. I've recently changed my pattern of EDC, and wanted to put the pocket clip back on this knife. When I went to get it, I couldn't find it. I still had the screws - they're still in the knife. But the clip itself was gone.

I emailed KAI to order the part, explaining that it wasn't broken or damaged or defective - I just misplaced it.

I expected to pay for the clip and for shipping - no problem.

Kershaw wasn't having it. I got a FAST response by email, telling me they were glad to send me a replacement clip free of charge. Less than a week later, I have the clip - AND an additional set of screws.

It's not a big deal - just small piece of hardware. But the attitude is enormous. They are determined to make owning a Kershaw product a pleasure.

It is.

5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Superb quality as expected 1 de marzo de 2017

Awesome knife. Kershaw has yet to disappoint (I doubt they ever will) and this knife is no exception. Blade needed sharpened out of the box but the point was razor. Serration was sharp too. A quick pass with a stone and this knife cuts everything I throw at it. It's sturdy, obviously well-made, and for the price point I can't find anything to complain about. Definitely a great buy.

5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas The Perfect Everyday Carry! 5 de agosto de 2015

I bought this knife to replace a Spyderco I had for about a year and a half and loved dearly. This knife was less expensive so I wasn't expecting it to be as good but man did it deliever! I use this knife as an everday carry and weather it's opening packages, cutting an annoying thread, or even cutting a piece of fruit this knife does not disappoint! It has a quick assist open system that when broken in can be flicked open in a matter of seconds! The clip can also be used for right or left-handed people which is very nice. The nice black finish has stayed in tact and makes it look very sleek. It does not weigh much and is there when you need it. If you want a perfect everyday carry at an affordable price go with this knife. Also, while looking through other reviews, I've heard that their customer service is incredible so it's just an all-around win!

5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Kershaw black Clash with partially serrated blade. 17 de diciembre de 2015

2nd update: 1/11/16: I started using this knife as EDC, and I am amazed at home how much I use it. I like it much better than other knives I've had. As I said earlier, it just feels right, and is not at all uncomfortable to keep in my pants pocket.

Update: 12/17/2015: I had stated my knife didn't come with supporting documentation. That was incorrect. The box held the thick brochure in a sealed plastic bag. I like this knife alot, and am surprised at how it surpassed all my expectations.

Being prepared is a "safety" issue. This is one tool in my "safety" arsenal.

Hope I never have to use it, but I'm ready if needed. This is worth the price. I have two spydercos knives which are great, but I lost the clips on both of them.

One of them is really too large for my hand, and one is too small (but they are great knives). I usually take them camping. The handle on this knife is thicker, and more suited to my hand shape.

I did some research on the most popular EDC knives and the Kershaws came up every time. It was between the Cash and the Cyro, and I chose this one because I like the serrated edge. I also like the black blade --"tactical black" -- guess that's my military training behind that thinking.

It is sharp, it does "shave arm hair" (never tried that before , and I've lubed it, and it's ready to go. I also purchased the Lansky blade medic to keep it and all my other knives sharp and ready.

I am a short stocky person with small hands. Additionally I have a long time permanent injury to my right index finger making it somewhat shorter than normal. I can open this knife one handed with my right hand. It's small size works well in my pockets, where the wide clip with "Kershaw" engraved on it rides right at the seam rivet. There will be no mistaking it's a knife you are wearing. Maybe that will be enough to keep potential issues at bay.

It's not hard to use the flipper to open the blade, and it makes a very satisfying and noticeable "thwack" on opening. The spyderco knives make a noticeable metallic "click". As I write this, I'm trying it from my left pocket, and it seems to work equally well for me. I'll probably carry it in my left pants pocket.

I don't really like the way the knife clip is positioned on the knife, and I'm going to see if I can reposition the clip to see if that makes any difference. It looks like the clip takes a small hex or Allen wrench.

It's pretty unobtrusive in my pants pocket (not using the clip). The handle is rounded with no edges to catch on fabric, and it feels "correct" in my hand. I think the blade is nice looking and very good length. I don't really consider myself a "knife" person, but years of carrying the spyderco knives gave me confidence in handling a knife and drawing it quickly.

People have said it was heavy--I think I like it better because it seems a bit heavier. It's heavier than my syperco knives, I'm sure. The added weight is not an issue for me. It feels very solid in my hand. But then I prefer a steel .38 revolver to the air weight I have. Just personal preference.

My knife came in a red box with Kershaw logo and no supporting paperwork. Kershaw is a solid company, I''m sure this will provide many years to trouble free service, and will be backed by top notch support.

I'm satisfied with this purchase --I think this is a good EDC knife.

Best knife for the money you can buy. I wanted a good knife but didn't want to spend a lot of money. This knife is as good and in a LOT of cases better than knives costing 4 or 5 times as much. But, if you loose this knife, you're not crying about it, you just jump on Amazon and order another one! I seriously had a friend try to buy it from me, I told him NO, go order your own! I own 2 of these knives and carry 1 with me everyday, everywhere!
