Biografía del autor

Eiji Aonuma is a Nintendo game designer, director, and producer. He is the series producer and manager of The Legend of Zelda and won the Golden Joystick Awards’ Lifetime Achievement Award in 2016.

Akira Himekawa is the pseudonym of two female comic book and manga artists who have collaborated together since 1991. Their illustrating credits include The Legend of Zelda series, Astro Boy, and The Dragon Dreams of Twilight.

Libro para "frikis" de los videojuegos y en concreto de la saga "the legend of Zelda". Me encanta como cuentan la historia enlazando y contando en orden la historia de todas las entregas de la saga, con curiosidades y fotos. Muy recomendable.

A pesar de que está en inglés, se entiende todo perfectamente pues usa un inglés básico, no debería ser ningún problema el idioma. La calidad del libro es asombrosa, el papel de excelente calidad y todo a color, así como la portada de tapa dura y con los dibujos dorados. Tenía mis dudas en si debía esperar a que saliera la edición española, pero ahora que lo tengo en mis manos la duda es por qué no me decidí a comprarlo antes.

Un libro que por su aspecto parece valer mínimo 50 euros por la calidad y el grosor, al precio al que está actualmente es imprescindible hacerse con él.

La primera vez que lo compré, lo tuve que devolver ya que los bordes estaban dañados, tenía un agujero en el lomo del libro, y tenía una mancha roja en la parte de abajo que traspasaba a las páginas. Me acaba de llegar el segundo libro, y los bordes están dañados, y la misma mancha roja aparece en el mismo lugar. He de decir que estoy bastante decepcionada, ya que los otros comentarios decían que les encantó el producto

This was purchased as a surprise gift for my teenage daughter to congratulate her on her exam results.
She really likes it as she is a Zelda fan and 'discovered' the game only in the last year or so. Consequently she has been obtaining older versions and trying to find out more about these and the stories behind them.
This book was therefore of great interest to her. It's packed with lovely illustrations, facts and figures, in game and real world Zelda history and it's a large book with genuinely interesting content.
Well done Amazon for offering this at such a reasonable price!
Later I plan to get her the new book that effectively supplements this one as there are new games now not covered by this book.

This is a fun jaunt through some of the cool lore of the LoZ series and I enjoyed leafing through it. The color illustrations are top notch, I just found it difficult to read in digital form, both on my phone/kindle paper white. It is better in tablet/kindle fire however

If I could have give it 4.5 stars, I would have - The ONLY thing wrong with this is that it has soooo much more Skyward Sword in it than anything else - which is a shame. BUT, apart from that it is a beautiful, extremely well made book. I was very hesitant spending so much (especially as it's for my 7 year old) but this is a book I think he will treasure forever. There are so many illustrations and photos as well as detailed descriptions he loves it even though he can't read it all yet. My husband (a Zelda fan too lol) had a great time looking at all the old video game covers and art work. The manga a the end is brilliant too - shame it's not in color, but hey.. not complaining. My son certainly LOVES it and that's what counts. If in doubt, go for it. It's a classy, very well made book :)

This has been available for some time in Japan, so it's nice to see it finally reach UK shores. It is a wonderful collection of artwork and design decisions from all the Zelda games.

Ideally it would be nice to see a book dedicated to each game, as trying to fit all of Zelda's rich history into one printed book you are bound to miss a few things. Plus it means some of the images are smaller which is a shame.

However as a long time Zelda fan it is a beautiful book to own and in some ways is a perfect swansong for me as the games are becoming less and less appealing with the direction Nintendo are taking them in. So with that in mind this really does become even more special as it is a celebration of something that made up a big part of my childhood.

In summary: it is very heavy and prone to finger prints, but beautifully presented and printed and contains some wonderful behind the scenes information that makes the games that bit more enjoyable. :)

A must have for any Zelda fan, and something to grab while it is still available.
