"This title will appeal strongly to boy-obsessed readers who will find the romance, particularly the chemistry between Cole and Jackie, to be quite engrossing and the teen voices credible." - VOYA
Reseña del editor
From a fresh new voice on the contemporary YA scene, My Life with the Walter Boys centers on the prim, proper, and always perfect Jackie Howard. When her world is turned upside down by tragedy, Jackie must learn to cut loose and be part of a family again.
Jackie does not like surprises. Chaos is the enemy! The best way to get her successful, busy parents to notice her is to be perfect. The perfect look, the perfect grades-the perfect daughter. And then...
Surprise #1: Jackie's family dies in a freak car accident.
Surprise #2: Jackie has to move cross-country to live with the Walters-her new guardians.
Surprise #3: The Walters have twelve sons. (Well, eleven, but Parker acts like a boy anyway)
Now Jackie must trade in her Type A personality and New York City apartment for a Colorado ranch and all the wild Walter boys who come with it. Jackie is surrounded by the enemy-loud, dirty, annoying boys who have no concept of personal space. Okay, several of the oldest guys are flat-out gorgeous. But still annoying. She's not stuck-up or boring-no matter what they say. But proving it is another matter. How can she fit in and move on when she needs to keep her parents' memory alive by living up to the promise of perfect?
Ali Novak wrote My Life with the Walter Boys when she was just 15 years old. First a hit on the online community Wattpad, this debut novel has already been read over 33 million times and is loved by readers around the world.Ver Descripción del producto

I loved Jackie. She was a great main character; she wasn't annoying and she was confident. She handled herself very well when she talked to the boys; they were gorgeous I probably would've just fainted at their feet. Even when some of the Walter kids were complete jerks to her, she stood up for herself and handled herself well. I didn't like some of the choices she made, however.
I loved Alex. He was incredibly sweet and adorable and his a Jackie's relationship toward the end made me so sad. I want someone like Alex in my life. I think everyone needs an Alex.
I also loved Cole, although he annoyed me throughout the story. He was always with another girl, and I know he was supposed to be your stereotypical popular hot guy, but he annoyed me sometimes.
My heart melted at his an Jackie's scene at the end.
I loved all the characters. Katherine (her gaurdian) was really nice to Jackie. And (most) of the Walter kids were fun, funny and nice. If I was Jackie I would lose my mind, but eventually warm up to their craziness. But just thinking about living in a house with TWELVE BOYS gave me anxiety. But, it was a FANTASTIC book! If this turned into a movie, I would audition, or be at the movie premiere!
I can't believe that Ali Novak started writing this book with she was only 15. That blew my mind!
I HIGHLY recommend this book! My heart is still broken that it's over. But I will DEFINITELY be reading this again!
I have fallen in love with Ali Novak and all her characters. (After reading this, I found her on wattpad and immediately read pretty much every single one of her unofficial/unpublished books- including the original draft of this book) She does such a good job, in my opinion of taking a somewhat outrageous plot and making it believable. Each of the boys is unique and has a their own quality and character to them.
I expected not to really get to know more than one or two of the Walter boys really well, but I ended the book feeling apart of the family. Ali Novak just did such a great job of submerging the reader into Jackie's life.
This one also has a sequel that will eventually be published, so after you read it, keep a look out for the next installment in the life of the Walter boys.
I also wasnt feeling the Alex situation and thought it was obvious that he was just sticking it to cole.
Definitely wanted to see more occur with cole and Jackie. I also agree with other posters that there may have been too many bothers making it difficult to really understand any of them fully.
