Descripción del producto

Reseña del editor is a great source for information regarding the subject matters of this book. Faith the dog is a major portion of this book, but the Faith´s family had circumstances of their own to overcome before she became a part of that family. Faith comes in all shapes and sizes, from the fist of a little girl who simply won´t take anymore, to the two back legs of a little deformed puppy who decided to walk when life had demanded that she be put down.

This is an inspiring story written (mostly) about a dog who was found as a puppy with no front legs. The story tells about how his "family" trained him to walk upright on his hind legs all the time and become the only known bi-pedal dog in the world! It is a truly insipiring story of courage, faith, and miracles! I would recommend it to any age...especially if you are an animal lover!

I was emailed a link to a video clip from the Montel Williams show featuring Ms. Stringfellow and Faith. Being a dog lover, I immediately went to Amazon and ordered a copy. According to the author, there is more than one version in the marketplace, one being the unedited version which she never meant for publication. I apparently got the unedited version. I was appalled at the sentence structure (or lack thereof) and poor word usage, but tried to struggle through the story. There really is a story in there trying to get out, but I was not able to finish the book! Even in a rough draft, I think a college professor who teaches English would know the difference between "bear hand" and "bare hand", or when is the appropriate time to use "affect" rather than "effect". Most dogs, also, do not sit on their "hunches"; the ones I've known sit on their "haunches". The list goes on and on, and I am sure Ms. Stringfellow will take issue with my comments. I'm not trying to be mean. I know what it is to go through bad times in life, and I admire the faith and courage which took her through all of her crises. The kids really are adorable and I felt complete compassion for their situation. I just wish I had gotten hold of the "good" version of the book; maybe the experience would have been better.

Jude Stringfellow wrote an amazing book of her life but most of all this fantastic, handicapped dog. Faith! I saw her
on the J. Lenow show and was brought to tears to see this dog in action. Faith is a great name for her because
this dog will make you realize that nothing is impossible if you yourself have Faith not only in your self but others as
well. Without it this dog surly would have died. I don't know of anyone who would not be amazed at how this dog had
been taught to overcome her handicap. To see her walk on her hind legs only is like a miracle itself. This family who
went through so much hardship still had the love and caring to help this little dog survive and they learned by doing this
how to survive themselves. This is a great book to read. Pick one up when you can.

I was disappointed when I started reading the book and so far, have not finished it. I really wanted to know about Faith, not her owner's life. I guess I should have read the reviews better because they do state that the book isn't much about the dog.

This is the 2nd book I've read about the amazing and inspiring Faith & her family. I'm not finished reading it yet but it already proved to be as wonderful as "Faith Alone" (I think I may have read them in reverse order of publishing). I just want to thank Jude for sharing Faith with us and her entire family for never giving up and for encouraging and loving Faith. If Faith can overcome this huge challenge, anything is possible! When faced with a challenge, I've begun thinking of Faith and what she has accomplished and my petty challenges pale in comparison. Faith and her family are an inspiration to all of us!
