These sound very good and for 71 dollars are a great buy. I'm surprised that I could not find a review on these anywhere. I'm also surprised that they don't sell more of them as it's very hard to find bluetooth bookshelf speakers at all for a reasonable price. You can use these with your smartphone, tablet, laptop or any device that can output bluetooth. Had no problem connecting them with my Android phone or netbook and they pair up without problems. I haven't used a program on my phone yet that has an equalizer because the bass could be better, but it is pretty good so far without it. I plan on using these with my tablet when I get one :), tried them on a friends without problems.
Would give these 5 stars but the power output could be better and the cord is a bit short to hook up the other speaker. I just used a RCA female adapter to make the cord longer. Overall I'm very satisfied with these speakers. There really should be more of a selection of bookshelf bluetooth speakers out there, just plug them in and use them indoors or outdoors, put them wherever you want.
i bought these on a whim. because i love listening to music throughout my day in my room, but hate plugging things into speakers, or switching CDs or even making playlists on an iPod. i have these speakers hooked up and placed on my bookshelf and it's synced, via Bluetooth, to my laptop right now. syncing takes about 30 seconds -- press and hold the button on the front of the speakers and then pair it from your laptop. the thing that took the longest to do was figure out how to route the sound to the BT speakers instead of the onboard laptop speakers (give or take 90 seconds).
for what they are, they sound awesome. through a flat EQ, the highs are kind of fizzy and the lows aren't very pronounced. enter iTunes EQ -- with very minimal tweaking, you can make these things sound pretty badass. they get decently loud as well, probably loud enough to entertain a fine wine and cheese party -- after the wine and cheese are gone and everyone wants to dance.
i couldn't tell you how good the range is, my room's fairly small and my laptop's always within 10ft of the speakers.
all in all... these are great speakers from a category that doesn't really fully exist yet. i'm sure the BOSE soundlink or whatever sounds awesome. but i'm not looking for portability. just looking for something to replace my boombox. if you're in the same boat and want some snazzy speakers that are bluetooth, i would recommend these. i'm sure something more awesome will come out eventually, but until then, these are a steal!
