5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Works Great for iPhone 5 about 2 1/2 charges. YMMV 25 de octubre de 2012
Por Abester - Publicado en
I bought my Mophie Powerstation (4000mAh capacity) direct from Mophie in early October 2012. Just for grins I decided to give it a workout to see how it performs before I needed it for a trip. Here's what I did...

I let my iPhone 5 battery deplete to 20% remaining as I normally don't let it get near completely dead. I attached a recently charged Mophie Powerstation that was 'topped off' the day before testing began. Using my wrist watch I observed and logged percentage charge and elapsed time. I left the iPhone 5 powered ON during charging but with the screen blanked most of the time, peeking every few minutes to observe it's progress. I did this test three times without recharging the Mophie Powerstation.

From a 20% charge remaining as displayed on the iPhone 5 screen.

Attempt #1 from 20% :

to 30% charge = 10 minutes elapsed time
to 40% charge = 20 minutes elapsed time
to 50% charge = 30 minutes elapsed time
to 60% charge = 40 minutes elapsed time
to 70% charge = 50 minutes elapsed time
to 80% charge = 60 minutes elapsed time
to 90% charge = 70 minutes elapsed time
to 95% charge = 80 minutes elapsed time

I didn't try to charge the iPhone beyond 95% as it was taking progressively longer to top it off. As you can see, the rate of charge is pretty linear up to ~90% and it charges at a rate of about 1% per minute.

I achieved the same exact result on Attempt #2, again starting with the iPhone 5 with just 20% charge remaining, and the Mophie Powerstation NOT being recharged after Attempt #1. I then tried charging the iPhone 5 for the third time without recharging the Mophie.

From a 20% charge remaining as displayed on the iPhone 5 screen.

Attempt #3 from 20% :

to 30% charge = 10 minutes elapsed time
to 40% charge = 20 minutes elapsed time
to 50% charge = 30 minutes elapsed time
to 58% charge = 45 minutes elapsed time
to 58% charge = >60 minutes elapsed time

The Mophie started running out of steam about midway through the third attempt but still had enough juice to get me over 50% charged.

Your mileage may vary depending on how you deplete and recharge your iPhone but for me, having over two full charges is more than sufficient in this relatively compact battery.

Planning a trip to NYC, the wife and I both have iPhones (3GS & 4s). I knew up front we're going to need to charge them at some point and looked into getting this battery pack. It worked well for charge two phone while wondering around in the big apple. At night, usually after midnight I charge the battery pack and by 9 or so the next morning it was fully charged. I would wait til one phone reach 25% before charging it and then do the other. This allowed us to stay out longer enjoying the city and not have to worry about finding a place to plug in at.

Do NOT complain about poor performance of your Mophie product until you contact Mophie. I bought 2 Counterfeit Mophie products here at Amazon.

I complained to Mophie and found out the two products were FAKES!!!

All of the Mophie batteries I. Have purchased which were Real Mophie products have MET or EXCEEDED their advertising claims.

This is my first review Ever. I did it because I believe Mophie"s reputation should Not be hurt by criminals.

So don't do a negative review before you have the Mophie people Verify that your Mophie product is real or counterfeit.

4.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Just right size and capacity for iPhone - beware counterfeit and take care on USB insert 15 de febrero de 2013

There are three Morphie options for my iPhone 5: The new Morphie case, the Powerstation 4000mA (this product) and the Powerstation Duo. (An older booster product uses the old-style iOS connector; it won't work.)

I only need it at conferences and long plane trips (though some planes have USB now), so the case wasn't a good choice for me. Too costly, won't work with other devices, etc.

So I compared the Duo to the 4000 mA. The Duo was just too thick and heavy. Lots of power, but overkill and it wouldn't fit into the one computer bag pocket I had.

The 4000 mA is just right. A bit thicker and shorter than my i5, it fits into a slot in my bag.

It comes with a micro USB cable for recharging. Wish they'd used a mini USB cable as I already carry that one, but it's an entirely reasonable choice.

One thing to watch out for. The USB "power out" connector is VERY tight. I see from Morphie's site that people are breaking USB cables putting them in. I can see why; the "correct" position is so hard to get in it would be quite easy to shove hard with the connector wrong-side-up. Be careful.

As noted elsewhere you should beware of counterfeit. As with most electronic products sold on Amazon I recommend only buying it from Amazon, not from a partner. Or play it safe and buy it from an Apple Store.

5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Magical Little Box of Power 18 de noviembre de 2011
Por Paige Turner - Publicado en
This is my new favorite gadget. With the proliferation of great mobile devices like the iPhone 4S and the Kindle Fire, there's one thing you can never have enough of: Power!

This juice pack is PERFECT for you, if like me, you don't want some permament clump of plastic attached to your beautiful iPhone like a cancerous growth. I'm also not a fan of scrambling around airports and conference rooms looking for outlets.

This pack is beautiful; looks almost like the iPhone 4S itself.

It comes only with the micro-USB cable, no charger. This is great. Why? Because you already have the charger if you have the iPhone. This little pack charges iPhones perfectly via the USB cable power adapter cable that comes with your phone.

Better yet, this thing even charges the Kindle Fire!
That's right- just plug the included micro-USB cable to your Fire, and voila, juice. It also has a convenient LED power meter to tell you how much juice is left.

So what you get is an elegant little external battery with one cable, which you can plug into your PC at work or the iPhone adapter. You double your battery life of your iPhone, but add no bulk to the iPhone itself. Almost magic, being able to carry extra power around.
