Many music teachers from all parts of the world are finding these music theory books a valuable resource for their students. The importance of a good foundation stone is essential to build up the knowledge from that first step, ready to move up the grades, both with ease and confidence. This series of graded books will guide you from the earliest grade through to the main challenge most students aim for. Yes! you guessed it, passing grade five. Many students tell me how helpful this is for refreshing the memory for the topics learned. I have been asked are these graded books only for students who wish to take examinations? The answer to this question is NO, there are many people both children and adults who would love to understand music theory, but the thought of having to take examinations in many cases have held them back. These graded books are very beneficial to the student who would like to build a good foundation in music theory, but prefer not to take examinations. One of the greatest things about music theory whichever musical instrument is your chosen one, the theory of music examinations are the same for all. Another feature with these books, each grade gives a test exam paper, for the information which has been learned. A complete set of answers are given along with a score sheet. This is an obvious help to the students who prefer not to take the examination, it gives opportunity to hold their achievements with the marks shown on their score sheet. The terminology used in these graded books cover both forms for the UK version and the USA version. Note names are shown like Semibreve (Whole note) Minim (Half note) and so on .... Whether taking the grade or preferring not, the lessons are easy to follow with many diagrams, good illustrations, and most important easy to follow text. With nothing left out, there really is everything you need to pass grade five music theory. In this grade plenty revision from the early grades have been dealt with. Music theory examinations are progressive and cumulative, it is important the student has been building knowledge through the earlier grades. Music Theory is valuable to everyone working or studying in any form of the performing arts, understanding music theory, being able to read a music score, this is so advantages to all. Music theory 'taking the grade' the perfect choice.
