It has the 3 lower straps which are velcro and the overall lengths can be adjusted without cutting the excess because they are velcroed to the underside of the of the cover, you just peel them off and move them up or down to change their lengths. They sinch down very tight and are easy to make so tight you can't begin to even budge it after it's on.
The outer shell holder is velcroed on as well as the inner one inside the zipper pouch (it's exactly the same in case you lose or damage one). My shells fit tight, .300 Ultra Mag (they're big bullets in case you don't know). It would probably hold down to about as small as a 30-30 shell before it started to be too loose to use.
The cheek piece has a nice hardened surface (sort of a plastic-rubber). It's good because if it was wet you wouldn't have to press your cheek up against a gooshy water-logged surface. The whole thing seems to be quite water-resistant (haven't tested it, but it feels pretty repelling and thick, even the pouch). It has a velcro strap that's folded up over itself underneath the portion of the cheek piece that's also velcroed to the underside of the cover, this is for raising the cheek piece height to whatever you need by wrapping the strap around some cloth and then strapping it back to the underside of the cover (pretty neat thinking if I say so myself).
The only real thing you need is a little piece of electrical tape around the zipper fly because it kind of makes a faint jingle if you fidgit around too much, the tape on the grabber-piece will suppress the noice if it bounces around so you remain as stealthy as possible. And if there was game nearby, you wouldn't want to try unziping the zipper.. that would be stupid, but there's nothing you can do about it other than just having you stuff ready before they show up.
Just buy it! You won't be disappointed! It looks way cooler than any other cheek rest / shell holder you'll find. And with the 3 straps it doesn't get in the way of the pin that mounts your gun sling.
The stitching is pretty shoddy around the part that your cheek sits on. It doesn't help that the loops for the straps are also sewed in to that same piece without any reinforcement. I feel if I try to pull to hard on them to snug it up they might tear right out.
Other that that everything else is on point. For this price I believe it's a great product. The velcro on the inside allows for a lot of strap customization. You can rearrange them in any configuration to fit your stock; even the more oddly shaped.
The zipper pouch has velco and another shell holder inside. The shell holders seems snug enough for 308 but .223 did not hold and slid right out.
The zipper on the pouch is a bit jingle-y so I cut it off and replaced it with some cord.
