She starts with "Sorting and Storing" our scraps, and goes from there to "Mixing Materials," "Choosing a Color Scheme," and "Value." And then there is a section on using up all your very small pieces for projects like small purses, pot holders, and hand and foot warmers. The quilt projects themselves are bright, beautiful, and easy to make. My absolute favorite was/is "Slopes" on page 62. I chose that as my starter quilt, and it's still in progress. I'm so happy with it. The colors just shine! Putting it very simply, I advise you to get this book, one way or another. Take a look at it! I think you'll fall in love with it too.
My daughter and I oohed and aahed at every project in this book! Thanks for a great, useful guide for scraps!!
Amanda's style of writing is easy to follow as well as are the directions for her scrappy quilts. My general rule of thumb before I purchase a quilt book/magazine is to have at least 3 patterns I feel I would make. In No Scrap Left Behind, I love each and every pattern. I imagine myself making each quilt in this book. The pictures of the quilts are amazing too. I loved Sunday Morning Quilts and I love No Scrap Left Behind even more.
