Hi again. After a lengthly process of calling Panasonic USA many times over near a month, the proper 'as in the picture' nozzle head arrived at my doorsteps suddenly. Yep, this is the one. A bit shorter in width, though has wheels and an extra degree of freedom. Please see my posted pictures. The Part # YMV96QAR000. I would suggest all buyers to check if they received the correct nozzle head. If not, call Panasonic USA.
My favorite aspect of the machine is the fact that it DOES take disposable bags. Many manufacturers market against products like this, touting the so-called benefits of wind tunnel or cyclone technology, and always claiming that bagless vacuums are better. I vehemently disagree, because anyone who has ever used a bagless type know that all of the dust and junk that has been sucked up immediately becomes airborne when you go to empty the canister of a bagless machine. With this little gem, you simply use one of the incredibly inexpensive bags sold here on amazon ( the pink ones fit best but the white ones hold much more) and then throw the whole thing away when it is time. This nearly eliminates any dust clouds when emptying the machine.
my MC-3920 (blue) vacuum. It is basically the same vac, but with enhancements. There is a cuff around the hose
where it connects to the vac. The cuff keeps the hose from twisting and cracking which was a huge issue with the old
vac as it aged. Also, the new vac has a metal wand which stays on. The vac is light weight and easy to maneuver.
Panasonic vacuums are good, quality with reasonable prices. I recommend this product without hesitation.
What I like:
Light - so easy to carry up and down stairs - you can easily carry it with one hand.
Tiny - it fits on one stair. It sits vertically or horizontally
Retractable chord - An absolute must
Powerful - It picks up more dirt than my shop vac
Bagged (how the heck is having to empty a disgusting can of filth considered an innovation? The bags are $1/each and well worth it.
Design - This is the iPod of vacuums - the design of the motor is first-rate - it rolls well, is easy to carry, and even has a little notch to hold the wand in place in the closet. Bravo.
What I don't like:
No power-brush head - you have to spend another $100 on a bigger, bulkier unit to get this feature
Only two attachments! The (non power) floor attachment works great and there is a crevice tool, but a brush tool at the very least would be appreciated
No place for attachments (well, the crevice tool fits in the bag area)
Color: The red color is a little pink in my opinion. Luckily I am comfortable in my masculinity, but really, I would have paid more for orange. I love things that are orange.
