5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Great!!! 8 de diciembre de 2011

I just heard the name Chuck Loeb several times but never listen really,, what a mistake!!! I am a 60 year old jazzguitarist from Sweden raised with the music of Wes Montgomery George Benson Grant Green 6 Kenny Burrell...it s just so wonderful finding a new musician that plays his way straight into your heart. I heard organ player Pat Bianchi several times and he is a favorite player since long and his support here as well as solos are just awesome not to mention legendary drummer Harvey Manson..closely connected to George Benson.
I think that more or less all tunes are great on this album..from the first Deep Inner Groove (based on the chord progresion of Stanley Turrentines classis tune "Sugar") via The great " e com esse que vou eu" where Carmen Questa does a wonderful vocal to the final and heartbreaking "The Hello" In addition very nice trumpet solo on "Red Suede Shoes" by german star Till Brönner
All in all Highly recommended

At last a recording i've been waiting for for years.Chuck Loeb is in my humble opinion one of the greatest jazz guitarists of our age,but always recording smooth jazz which i like very much too by the way.Makes you very curious what a straight jazz recording would sound like.Well Plain 'n simple GREAT!!
This is one of the best jazz recordings in years.I don't mind if he's playing smooth jazz for the rest of his life, but every now and then he should record something like this.Sometimes it's like listening to Pat Martino or Wes Montgomery or even Charlie Parker and that's the way i like it. The man has an amazing feeling for melody so his own compositions sound just as good as the standards
He is probably one of the most underestimated jazz guitarists in the world.

As a jazz guitar player since the 80's, I find Chuck Loeb to be one of the best contemporary players around. I love his raw stuff on this album. I love his "smooth" stuff as well. It wasn't until my partner complained while I was listening to this album that I realized that for some people it's not just about the guitar playing. Sorry, but players have a right--no, an obligation to play to other players, so get over it.

Thanks Mr. Loeb for another outstanding set. And thanks for including Pat Bianchi--B3 talent extraordinaire.

Chuck Loeb is hitting his strides big time on this new and exciting groove fest. With Harvey Mason on drums and Pat Bianchi on organ (by the way I've never heard of Pat, but he's an amazing player) Chuck let's loose with some consummate straight ahead jazz sets, highlight being The Blues App. This track's on heavy rotation on my CD player and exemplifies what is great about American jazz music. I love Chuck in this format and it clearly shows what a versatile guitarist he is. Keep it pumpin' Chuck!
