Decepcionado. El Elmo no se sostiene en la base al utilizarlo y hacer presión con la mano para hacer las figuras. Desorbitado el precio por lo malo del producto.

1.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Lame and Annoying 27 de mayo de 2011

I don't write many reviews, but I dislike this toy so much I feel I have to. Theoretically, Elmo tells your little one which shape to make and they put in some Play-Doh, press down, and get the shape. Even as an adult, I find it nearly impossible to put the right amount of dough in to get anything that resembles a triangle or square instead of a blob. Plus, there's a circle imprinted on ALL the shapes just to make absolutely sure your kid gets totally confused and never learns what a triangle is. Lastly, it just doesn't work. Half the time Elmo chirps "Triangle!" when you've made a square. The only reason I gave it 3 stars for durability is that it hasn't broken yet (sadly) but, of course, we don't play with it much.

5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas A Video Review of the Play Doh Elmo Shape and Spin Playset 29 de enero de 2013
Por CKE - Publicado en
Our 3 year old daughter enjoys both Play Doh and the Sesame Street character "Elmo". What could be better than a toy that combines Elmo, Play Doh, and learning shapes? The Play Doh Elmo Shape and Spin Playset is a fun toy, but it does have a few negatives.

The toy is pretty straight forward - you place a small amount of Play Doh on the shape. You then push down on Elmo's hands (with a fair amount of pressure) you release Elmo's hands and then push up on the release handle and remove the shape. The Shape comes out as a bit of a *blob* so you must trim the edges and then place the shape on the appropriate spot on the mat (see the video). At this point you rotate (to a different shape) and repeat!

Notes -

- Elmo does not have a volume control, which is unfortunate because the toy can be kinda annoying.

- It can be difficult to get the shapes out of the mold

- Clean-up is a little less difficult than the average Play Doh Toy

- Compared to many Play Doh toys this one is very educational.

- Elmo sounds like... Elmo

- A picture is impressed on both the top and bottom of every shape.

- The picture mat is a fun scene and is similar to what you find in a lot of Sesame Street books.

Final Verdict - While there is room for improvement the Play Doh Elmo Shape and Spin Playset is both fun and educational for children ages 2-6. Be warned.... while children will like the toy; parents may become pretty annoyed with Elmo's voice!

I got this Elmo Play-Doh toy for my son and he hasn't played with it too long so I'm not sure about the durability of it but one thing I didn't like was the three plastic disks that you can push into Elmo's hands to squish the playdoh. These are extremely easy to loose and once they're lost I'm not sure how my son will make the shapes. I absolutely love that Elmo counts each time you press the button down and when you rotate the disk of shapes, Elmo says the shape you land on. I was extremely disappointed with the "playmat" that came with it. It was advertised that children can make shapes and then place them in the outlined shapes on the playmat. The only problem is the playmat is just a piece of paper...not laminated or anything and it was SHOVED into the box all wrinkled. Useless. Other than that, this toy is great.

3.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Lots of fun, but needs improvement 11 de enero de 2011

My 2-year-old son is a huge Elmo fan AND a huge Play-Doh fan. When I saw that this one was on sale for only $5.49, I jumped on it. So far, can't tell how much he's been learning about shapes and counting, but for sure he has lots of fun with it.

But for mom's side, this thing needs some improvement.

1. There is no place to store the extra stampers. Moms know that means those will be scattered around the house sooner or later, or simply go missing.

2. When you press Elmo's hands down to cut the shapes, it does not cut off clean. So kids got sort of frustrated that they can't get the shape off nicely.

3.I tried to clean the thing each time after use. But always found out later there is tiny bits of play-doh left inside that you can't reach. When it dries, it just snows down if you shake the toy a little bit.

Anyways, by all means, if your kids love Elmo and Play-Doh, and you can find a good deal for this, still go for it. They'll love it!
