4.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Polk TL350 Review 10 de marzo de 2012

This 5-speaker system, coupled with the Polk DSW550Pro 400w powered subwoofer is such an upgrade over what I had, I'm thrilled. There's clarity, separation and definition I've never heard in my listening room, in both music and movies. No more muddy dialogue. And explosions? Forget about it! All told, I spent $1125, which I consider to be excellent value. The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is the somewhat skimpy power handling capability of the satellites, as they start to buzz when I really cranked it up. I was going to buy a more powerful receiver but now I'm not so sure.

I'm using these with the Yamaha RX-A720 receiver and two Polk PSW505 subwoofers, as well as two additional Polk TL3 speakers to provide a 7.2 channel system. The 6 TL-3's are set up on Sanus HTB-7 speaker stands (recommended - the speaker will attach to the stand with one (provided) screw) with 16 gauge speaker wire. Great distortion-free sound with clear, sharply focused mids and highs, even at higher listening levels than I prefer to use. This relatively modest set-up really shows off the audio on a good Blu-ray. For a small to medium sized listening area I don't see why you'd need more than this.

5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Great sound, but you'll need a subwoofer 26 de mayo de 2013

These are some heavy little speakers. They sound great too. They're also quite small, which means they don't have very good bass response, but that's to be expected. I matched these with a Polk Audio PSW125 subwoofer and (at first) an Onkyo TX-NR414 receiver. I was pretty happy with the sound, but something was missing... Couldn't quite put my finger on it. I felt the TX-NR414 was a bit simplistic so I returned it and got the Yamaha RX-V673 instead. Once I told the Yamaha that the speakers were 6 ohms, and re-ran the YPAO automatic setup, I had the best sounding stereo system I've ever owned, and will likely own, for the next 10 years. Now all I want to do is sit on my sofa and watch movies in 5.1 surround or listen to music. These little speakers rock.

I am glad I stumbled across Polkaudio when considering a hometheatre satellite speaker system. This system for its class and price will blow you aware. Partner this with a Polkaudio DSW550wi subwoofer and a worthy receiver then you have a high end system for relatively lower cost. I drive these with a Sony SRT-DN1040 AV Receiver and my oh my. The Prometheus fly in opening scene over a valley and the rumbling of cascading waterfalls really brings out this system crisp audio. I am glad I bought this system. What are you waiting for?

Taking advantage of Amazon returns I ordered three different compact systems and listened to them one after the other over a few days. I started with the Klipsch Quintent at $350, then a Yamaha system at a slightly higher price tag and finally this Polk Audio. When you look at the pictures all the systems look the same... Well, after listening to this speakers I had no problem to pay the extra price (almost double in facts): the sound is deep, detailed, crisp and full bodied. Not too bright as most other compact speakers, just well balanced. You will appreciate the detail of string instruments in particular. It's hard to demand more from a compact system. The only minor complaint I have is that the center channel tends to be a bit too charged on the lows when listening to some TV channels dialogues. The system is more oriented towards music than movies sound.
