Funciona muy bien para cargar la Nexus 7 en el coche, que es para lo que la compré. Tiene una salida específica para dispositivos Apple y otra para dispositivos de otras marcas, aunque en el manual dice que también se puede usar la salida para Apple con dispositivos que no sean Apple, lo único es que pueden tardar más en cargarse. Así que en teoría puede usarse para cargar 2 dispositivos simultáneamente, aunque esto no lo he comprobado todavía.

My car has a USB connection, where I used to charge my phone while driving, but when using the GPS on my phone, it would never actually charge, so I decided to try this car charger, and couldn't be happier since! It is compact, and I like that two devices can be charged at once, so my passenger can utilize it as well. It doesn't really matter which port I plug my Android phone into, despite the specification of Apple (A) and non-Apple (N/A). It charges well and with the same speed. Perhaps there would be a difference if I had an iPhone.

As soon as the battery is at its capacity, the charging stops, which protects it from overheating. The LED light is helpful in showing that the charger is properly connected.

Originally I liked the product, it was affordable, got good reviews, and it got the job done, until today. I usually store it in my glove compartment when I'm not using it. Today when I pulled it out and plugged it in, it wasn't working. After I inspected it, I realized it was missing a whole bunch of parts AND there was a chip where the two pieces connect, which is probably how it came apart in the first place. I have no idea how it got chipped in that placeI found all but one of the pieces in my glove compartment. I'm really disappointed. Won't be buying from here again.

I have used this adapter for three years in three different vehicles. It has worked well in all three and has outlasted other adapters that just fall apart. It is longer than others but makes up for that with reliability. It has charged an array of Android and IOS products using bargain and expensive cables. I would give 5 stars but have noticed that it tends to require an occasional twist in the socket to work. Not sure if this due to corrosion on the contacts or loss of contact due to vibration or some other reason.

Original review...with important update below.

It works well. With an original USB 3 data/power cord, this charges the battery in my
Note 3 just as fast as the supplied OEM wall charger does in the NA (non-Apple) port. Can't say about the A port because I haven't tried it yet.

The red LED inside & the small LED between the ports of the charger adds a nice touch of color, as it matches the dashlights of my Pontiac. They're red also.

As of today (June 15, 2014), I've received 3 spam e-mails directly from PowerGen, trolling for positive feedback for this product, about once a month. Each e-mail is exactly the same as the last one before it. There's no unsubscribe to tell them to stop. In the message, they say that this is a one time message & I will not receive anything further from them because I have not been put on any mailing list. That is simply not true. Beware of continued spam from this seller in your inbox if you buy!

I've now reduced this review to one star, simply for the non-stop spam that they say that they won't send more than once.

This PowerGen Dual USB car charger gave good service from when I bought it for my wife in June 2014 until, having gotten Samsung Galaxy S7 phones with fast-charging capability, we replaced it with a Qualcomm Certified - OLESiT Quick Charge 2.0 36W Dual USB Port Car Charger for my wife's car and a [Qualcomm Certified] 5ive® Dual Port Quick Charger 2.0 for mine. (If you're interested in a Qualcomm-certified 2.0 car charger, I can recommend both of them.)

Physically, this PowerGen charger fit easily and securely in its place, sticking out far enough to be accessible without being obtrusive.

Please note, I paid full price for this PowerGen dual USB charger.
