La función de cancelación activa funciona moderadamente bien. Al tener drivers pequeños se acopla mejor a oído no muy grandes. No es mi caso. Aun así la función de cancelacion activa es aceptable.

Update: I actually prefer the battery easily coming out as this makes charging easier and more convenient. I found these phones are made to be low slung on the ear. Lower than others I have owned. Kind of new to get used to but even the noise reduction works better with what seems to be a better seal when worn lower and very comfortable after wearing for hours, for my head anyways, and I do wear glasses. There is a delay when watching a Netflix movie if your tablet (nexus 7) does not support the Bluetooth protocol. I need to use the cord to make the sound not seem like an overdubbed B foreign movie but I must admit if it is a high quality audio, the sound is mezmorizing. I particularly like the even balance as I am not found of the heavy bass like the Bose. Classical music just comes alive. Cross continent jet review to come.
The noise cancellation leaves something to be desired. Not only is it underwhelming, but it eats through the battery and there is a completely unnecessary flashing light on your right ear. The speak-through feature is also completely unnecessary.
I did happen to get the BT model, and think it was a waste of money. I almost never use it since it uses so much battery life.
Lastly, I don't know how long these phones are expected to last, but with a normal amount of usage over ~15 months mine have had more issues than I would expect. After only 3 months the cable became damaged and would only work in certain positions. Thankfully, Sennheiser has a good CS department and I was able to get the cable replaced for free. Then about 6 months ago I started having issues with the left headphone either losing volume or losing sound entirely. On a good day I can put the headphones on and not have any issues, but in general I only get sound in both ears when the headphones are in a certain position.
For the amount of money I spent on these headphones, I would expect the construction to be fantastic. However, I think I would have been more satisfied with a $15 pair from the Best Buy checkout line.
These phones come in a very compact case. It took me a while to figure out how the buttons work. There are play/pause, forward and reverse buttons on the headphones. They don't work with my iphone when it is connected with a wire, but they do seem to work when connected by blue tooth. I AM dissapointed that they won't pause the audio playback when connected by wire, but that's a rather small complaint.
The Jaybird iSport blue tooth adapter, combined with these headphones, gives me very good sound from my iphone/ipod. I have to admit, though, that I have not done side-by-side comparison tests with other products.
The blue blinking light that others have mentioned in the review is certainly there, and rather large... but it didn't seem to bother anyone on the 9 hour overnight flight I took last month. So it doesn't bother me.
With my old Sony headphones, in addition to the noise reduction, there was a noticable reduction in the mid-highs when the noise cancellation circuit was turned on. With these Sennheiser headphones, I seem to get equal noise reduction without the undesired reduction in the mid-high range. The quality of the sound is quite good.
Mark me as a completely satisfied customer.
Headphones are comfortable and block quite a bit of noise without noise cancelation. My roommate tends to blast his dub step every morning. I put the headphones on and even at moderate volume i could clearly listen to my music against the background.
My only criticism is with regards to docking and undocking the battery from the headphones. It is practically impossible to do it with your fingers. You need a pin or a pencil to get to the button for undocking the battery which is really frustrating. Other than that, i would highly recommend these bad boys. You wont need another pair of headphones for a long long time.
