WITH PHOTOS
This book delves into the twisted psychology of women attracted to some of the most notorious monsters on the planet, giving true crime readers real insight into this phenomena.

One of the most common reasons given by women who date serial killers is the fact that they 'see' the little boy that the horrible man once used to be, and they believe that they can nurture that kid, hence removing the cruel and harmful nature of the killers and making them amicable again.

Known as 'serial killer groupies' or even 'prison groupies' by some, a great number of these women have shown a surprising desire to get connected to the serial killer of their choice. A large number of these women have become directly aligned with these killers, and some have even married these hardened criminals.

Groupies will do almost anything to get close to the prisoner that they are attracted to. They give up jobs, family, spend money on him, and even move across country to be in the same town as him. Some SKG's are attracted to the celebrity status they acquire. They go on talk shows to announce their undying love for the serial killer and proclaim that he was not capable of these killings.

"This book is another winner from Parker and team. I have long been fascinated by serial killer groupies. In fact, I based by novel Fear Collector on that very subject. -- (Gregg Olsen) New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today Bestselling Author

"If you seek to understand or study the unexplainable, this book may be your key to some grasp of what is beyond imagining....why some women love serial killers!" -- (Bernard Lee DeLeo), bestselling author of over twenty-five novels

"Very informative. Serial Killer Groupies explores the psychological factors that compel a person to become infatuated by and devoted to what we in society consider a "monster", rather it be for fame, love, convenience... (or just plain nuts). Makes me look at groupies in a new light. You can bet, the next groupie I hear about in the news, I will be trying to analyze. Thank You RJ Parker for bringing light to a subject we don't know much about. A great read." -- (Teresa Parr) (Reader)

"The obsessed groupies of predators such as Richard Ramirez (The Night Stalker) are just as fascinating as the serial killers they love. Best-selling author RJ Parker offers powerful insights into the needs, motivations and dark desires of women who pursue and sometimes marry the most infamous killers in history. This powerful psychological examination of these women is not to be missed. Well researched, Parker sheds new light on the curious sub-culture of groupies in his new true crime book, SERIAL KILLER GROUPIES" -- (Scott Bonn, PhD) Professor, criminologist and author of Why We Love Serial Killers: The Curious Appeal of the World's Most Savage Murderers

This book is gruesome all the way through, as it describes in some detail the acts of each popular serial killer. This, I suppose, is to make the reader ponder carefully why some women would adulate monsters who have subjected other ladies to horrific atrocities. It seems that these admirers fall into several categories, from the pathetically needy to the sociopathic. I wanted to read this book for personal reasons. We had a very likeable, charismatic friend who killed in a schizoid episode. While still remaining very concerned for this now incarcerated person's welfare (because I remember him as a very fine person before his mental deterioration), we have chosen to keep under his radar by not attending his trial or visiting him in gaol. I have always wondered why a prominent female film director (who had never met him previously) should be at his trial, and why former girlfriends should suddenly seek him out again (I have it on good authority that he was indignant, incensed even, by these visits). This book answers these questions, but it is still a mystery if your mind does not go there. When someone is charming and stable, they are a great person to know. But when someone is charming and potentially threatening, they are to be avoided. If there is a lesson to be learned from this book, this is it.

Did not like this book. What I read in this book anyone with half a brain could have figured out on their own. The was really no background on the groupies. Would not recommend

These different stories probe into the minds of these women. It's interesting how they rationalize by being attracted to these serial killers. Too bad that one woman and her mother were murdered by the serial killer she was attracted to. These women need to be very cautious about who they write to.

I think these women are as twisted mentally as the murderers they supposedly fall in love with. The desire to be with someone like that escapes me. Love your books and will continue to read more of them in the future.

Interesting but a little on the basic facts side. However I just have to say that these women obviously have some serious mental health issues and some of them are just too stupid to be allowed to play outside by themselves. It left me shaking my head at the sheer stupidity of these pathetic creatures. They should be locked up for there own good.
