5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas The difference is amazing. 6 de marzo de 2013

I have a Felt F75X, and was not overly impressed with the bike or the drivetrain. It had a full Shimano 105 setup with the exception of an FSA chain and crankset. I tried every type of lubricant, and had the LBS readjust derailleurs several times, but I could never get the crisp shifts that I was looking for.

I only had 500 miles on the original chain, but started getting a link that was consistently binding. I was going to spend some money on my bike as it is my primary commuter, and contemplated upgrading the entire drivetrain, but started with the chain. The difference was amazing. I replaced the chain myself, and dialed in the derailleurs and have not missed a shift yet. Crisp, fast, confident shifts.

One aspect of the reviews here and at other sites that was a bit confusing was trying to decipher compatibility with my 105 components. I would suggest Googling Shimano Drivetrain Compatability Chart. You will get a PDF that spells out pretty clearly what can be used with the various Shimano components.

5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Could tell a positive differance 28 de abril de 2011

I previously had a Shimano Ultegra chain (model 6600 I believe) that was shown to be worn between 0.75-1% which is within range for normal replacement. I opted to spend the extra money for the Dura-Ace due to both weight reductions and claimed shifting improvements.

While I did not measure the weight (and this is very small compared to the mass of my aging waist line) I could tell an immediate difference in the ease of shifting and the overall quietness of the drive train.

It was well worth the $50.
5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Works fine with my Dura-Ace 7800 group 28 de febrero de 2015

I'm buying my 2nd one of these for use with a Dura-Ace 7800 group. Got about 3,000 miles out of the first one. Lots of debate on whether this chain works with the 7800 group and I've had no issues. I have a Dura-Ace 7800 rear derailleur, FC7800 crankset and have used both the Ultregra 6800 and Dura-Ace 7800 cassettes. I also use the KMC Missing Link master link to connect the chain with no issues. This is a directional chain that will chatter if you install it the wrong way. Works as expected when installed correctly.

One thing I did learn is to not soak this chain in any kind of solvent or degreaser. I left mine in a bucket of degreaser over night and it completely destroyed the shiny finish. I was left with a black chain that still worked okay. Shimano tells you this in the directions but of course I didn't pay any attention to those! I only using soap and hot water now.

5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Awesome Chain! 13 de diciembre de 2013

Similar to one of the other reviewers, I installed this on my road bike with the new Shimano 105 (5700) group. Wow, is all I can say! Shifts are light and very precise, and it runs very quiet. I was previously using my standard KMCx10 chain, and this Dura-Ace chain made a big difference. I've owned other road bikes with Sram Rival and Ultegra, and this setup is the smoothest I've ever felt. I even had a previous carbon bike with the Ultegra group and the older DuraAce 7800 chain, but it was not as smooth.
What ever they did to improve it, it works!

5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Fantastic bicycle chain 27 de julio de 2012

I thought my shifters were out of adjustment, and finally realized the chain was bad. After some research, I ordered this model. It shifts extremly well - better than it was when new, so they have improved the Dura-Ace line. It is much quieter as well. I highly recommend this if you are looking for a decent chain.
