5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas works great, just had to figure out to screw the hose end into the outlet 1 de julio de 2014

Have had this pump for a couple weeks now and have used it several times, pumping out water from a small pool, helping fill/empty small pool for ducks, and cleaning out some areas that has gotten flooded (thanks to irresponsible electricians knocking a drainage pipe off under my home allowing sink water to collect under my house, which is a WHOLE other story...)

Does a great job! Even with the not so clean water the only difference I have found is a little bit harder to pump but NOT difficult to operate in the slightest.

It did take about three days of my struggling with the hose to figure something out thought... I have seen where others have complained about the hose coming off or leaking, well, I figured out that I had the hose turned around the WRONG way. The hose has a plastic cap typething on one end and I had thought that the plastic end was meant to fit into the outlet on the pump and while it does fit in there, one pump and it either blows right off or the water being pumped out seeps out majorly from the outlet.

Turns out the other end of the hose SCREWS INTO the outlet... I wouldn't have realized this has I not turned the thing sideways while trying to figure out how I was going to glue or tape it together. Yup, it screws into the outlet and since then... NO leaks from the outlet, and NO problems with the hose blowing off...

seems like such a simple thing but I don't think I am the only one who overlooked the small threading inside the outlet....

good luck, great pump :)

4.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Not bad for Sprinkler System Repairs 9 de julio de 2012

I bought this to make repairs to the sprinkler system a bit more pleasant. Tall order, I know.

Though not perfect, it definitely succeeds. My selected model is 36" with a 36" hose. That configuration is acceptable, but maybe a shorter pump an longer hose might've worked better on some repairs. I could probably justify a second pump, but I'm gonna just stick with this one and call it good.

Size and hose length aside, I have a couple of issues with this pump. The hose connection is under-engineered and becomes detached too easily. And - (yes, I realize that I'm departing from this product's intended purpose) - it does tend to get clogged periodically by mud and muck.

Most of you probably won't be subjecting it to as hard use as I am; you may not have any issues at all. OK, except the hose coming off if you use it with any frequency.

For homeowners dealing with occasional underground sprinkler repairs, I'm still pretty happy with it. Much better than not having it, that's for sure. I like that it's simple, and really pretty effective. Much easier than messing with an electric pump...safer, too, I'm sure.

If you really intend to abuse it - like maybe, if you're in the sprinkler repair business - NO, this is not for you. Just my opinion.

Good luck; may your sprinkler problems be small ones :)

It pumps fine but the hose is too short for this long a pump and leaks where attaches to body.

5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Works great, pumps out water as fast as you can 6 de septiembre de 2011

If your open hull boat starts to get some water in it from waves, this will work to pump the water out of your boat. If you have a small boat and you put the outboard motor into reverse and you're the only person in the boat, and the boat starts to take on a massive amount of water over the transom.. you will wish you had a huge automatic bilge pump (as well as someone up front to push the front down and raise the rear so the water doesn't get in the back!) Hard lesson learned, luckily I was in the process of ramping the boat when it happened and I jumped overboard and push the boat onto the trailer haha :(

5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Perfect for the job 10 de enero de 2015

Perfect for the job. I had to pump out a horizontal pipe four feet below ground level that had an upturned part on one end that gave me access to the pipe. The upturned (elbow) section was about a foot long. The inside diameter of the pipe was about 2.5 inches. This pump went into the pipe easily and I pumped out 32 feet of horizontal pipe in about 30 seconds. Without this pump I was looking at a lot of misery. Worked perfectly and easily.
