In general it's rather Okay for the price. My other ball head a Cullman Magnesit 35 is a monster relatively speaking. I wanted to lighten the total load on my new Benro carbon tripod so this was my choice. Most of my shooting is with a Canon 5D Mk11 gripped with an L bracket.

The Arca Swiss clamp with the level works very well with my RRS L bracket. The release button actually works with it and keeps it from sliding off.
The tension "screw" is novel and works well when setting the minimum tension on the ball.

Over all the ball tension is somewhat problematic with my EF 24-105 f4L lens. I also have a 70-200 mm f4L which I'll use from time to time. It just takes quite a bit if finger force to sufficiently tighten the ball as the adjustment knob is relatively small, too small for a full hand grip. My Cullman ball head adjustment is much larger.

Also the pan friction is set and not adjustable, it appears to be factory adjusted and set far too tight.

Edit: I've found that torquing the set screws on my tripod to anchor the ball head to affect the pan minimum drag. I guess I was torquing a little too heavy. I backed off a little and the drag now feels the same as not being mounted.

Edit #2: After living with this ball head for a while now I really think I should have gotten the K20X it's bigger brother. This works fine with my Samsung NX210 but is a little lite for my Canon 5D MK11 gripped and 24-105L lens.

Edit #3 I used this ball head and my Samsung NX210 with it's 18-55 IOS lens on a nearly 3 week visit to San Miguel de Allende last October. I used it on an old tripod that just fit inside my checked baggage without removing the ball head. I have to say it worked very well while taking nearly half of my 1200 shots at night. The Quick Release with the catch button was a real benefit not having to worry about the camera sliding off of the head. Also I make it a habit of placing the camera strap on my neck when at the tripod for added insurance. Once the ball tension was set with the small "thumb screw" adjustment no further adjustment was required when moving the camera from the portrait to landscape position.

5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Very smooth, very well built 14 de marzo de 2013

This is my first ball head, and my first head investment so I may not be the most apt reviewer but here it is.

So far I really like the head, it's very smooth and everything feels very precise, smooth, and well made. I have it attached to my Sirui T-2204X CF tripod, we will see how the equipment holds up but my initial impression is that it they are very well constructed.

It has tons of levels, which I enjoy because I felt my previous tripod was lacking since I couldn't level portrait shots.

The panorama control rotates very smoothly and the head easily supports my D5000 with a Sigma 70-300mm attached without feeling like I'm torquing the knobs.

The knobs also feel very solid, I haven't experienced it yet but they seem as if they'd be very easy to use wet or when wearing gloves.

I like that the quick shoe has the feet upfront to keep it straight on the camera base.

So far my only complaint is my lack of experience with a ballhead, but that's not the fault of the K-10X and I will quickly adapt.

***UPDATE 7/11/14***

After over a year with the head I'm still very happy with it. I had a few qualms early on, but it looks like they due to my inexperience. I spent a lot of time fiddling with the improperly adjusted knobs. As I thought, the knobs are quite easy to adjust in wet conditions and while wearing gloves. Although now that I've figured out how to set the knobs, I don't touch them nearly as often.

The head also easily supports my current, heavier, setup of a D7100 with Tamron 70-300 the heft and weight of the lens combined with no tripod mount on the lens itself.

I have swapped out the QR for a PeakDesign plate (although I may change again) because I use a black rapid strap and was leery of hanging my heavier D7100 from the included D ring. This is not a fault with the ballhead though since very few are designed for this.
5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Sirui 10X Head for full frame camera setup 9 de abril de 2017

Debated this head versus the 20X to go with the T2205 carbon tripod. I have the Sony full frame A7Rii camera with the heavy 24-70mm F2.8 lens. Now having used it a good number of time, I have found it to be rock solid, easy to transport, and reliable. Have taken the setup hiking and it is light and easy to use. Also have the Sony RX100 iv and can attach it to the tripod on hikes and go anywhere with ease. Makes for a good waking stick also. The double lock on the plate mount is a real bonus as is the level. Highly recommend.

5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Excellent - It's so good, I doubt I'll ever need another one, but would buy this brand again. 18 de marzo de 2014

After a good bit of research, the Sirui K-10X is my first ball-head. (My previous tripod was pretty cheap.) I'm extremely pleased with my purchase and would buy the brand again. The quality of the construction was seen as soon as I started using it. All adjustments are very smooth in operation and allow easy positioning. No movement is allowed once a gentle tightening of the adjust knobs is done. Then it's easy to release for the next position. The safety release button is a great feature for making sure that when the camera body is coming off the head, I'm ready for it.

I'm using with a Induro AT413 tripod.(Which I also recommend if you want a tall and sturdy platform). I've used this ball-head with my heaviest body/lens combo, (Canon 60D and a Canon 70-300mm) without any issues or extra tightening of the set knobs.

I was looking for a ball head to match the Benro travel tripod. It works perfectly for me.

- Security button to push before the camera plate can detach from the head ensures that it won't fall off accidentally!
- Smooth damping for rotation of the base for panning.
- Easy adjustment of default ball head tension using finger pressure to set the tension point (see the little silver disk on the blue disk in the pictures?)
- Light weight and small makes it fit in the case that came with the Benro tripod.
- It feels very secure with my camera (Canon 6D, 24-70 F4L II, etc. lenses) despite the relatively small size.

- Not much of a con for me but....Using the level can be a bit of a challenge for me. It's nice that they're there including the dual level on the side but it's kind of small for the vertical one to be easily read. However, that doesn't bother me as I'm using it for travel still photography and can use other means to keep the camera level for panoramic pictures (use the in-camera level in my Canon 6D.
