I can store 2.5 hours of Full HD (30 fps) video, 3500 24 Megapixel pictures in .jpg, or somewhere around 2000 in RAW format... more than enough, which is why I went with this size.
With the older card (not 'classed'), it would take - without delay - about 12 photos in 24 Megapixel .jpg's - with this one, it'll do 17 (this is in the 10 shots per second mode). Read times from the card are significantly improved on my iMac with the built-in SD card reader - I suspect if it was a USB card reader it wouldn't improve as much, but I could be wrong. It takes about a minute to import 200 .jpg files (around 10 MB each).
I would buy this card again. Although it's a little pricer than some other class 10 32 GB cards, the performance is good, and using a Sony product in my Sony camera just makes sense. According to some reviews on cheaper cards, there can be some variation within some other brands... I didn't want to risk it.
For a secondary card, I'd consider a cheaper (and probably only a 16 GB) card - since its about half the cost to get a Transcend class 10 card.
Whether I'm shooting HD video or 24megapixal photos this card never slows down.
32GB is insane.. I can shoot video or take pics pretty much all day.
