5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Fantastic tablet mount 22 de septiembre de 2013

This mount costs significantly more than some alternatives, but I think you'll discover as I did that this mount is much higher quality than the competition. I was a little suspicious of all the positive reviews I've seen for this mount, and leery of spending $50 on it, but I'm glad I did. It's awesome. It comes in attractive packaging, with clear intuitive installation instructions, and once installed it's extremely sturdy. It also looks about as good as a mount can look. No mount looks great when it's not occupied by a device, but this one at least manages to not look cheap and crappy.

In any case, my wife and I used this mount to hold our Galaxy Note 10.1 tablets as we drove from Montana to Texas and then to California. It was a very long drive, but the mount performed admirably, holding our tablets securely in place. We used it to hold our tablets so that we could use them as navigational devices (on that note, I recommend Google Maps if you have a mobile hotspot, or Copilot if you don't).

Highly recommended. I'd buy another Exogear mount in a heart beat.

5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas THIS IS PERFECT! 11 de julio de 2012

This car mount is perfect. It sits low enough so that it doesn't block my view when driving. It raises and lowers for easy access to the controls it's beneath. It comes with small shock absorbers so that it doesn't shake or bounce when I hit a bump.
This is a great tool and was adjustable so it fits my ipad 3rd generation snug with no issues. LOVE IT!

I own a very heavy tablet (a Nexus 10) and my cars Dash is flimsy (95 Acura Integra) and when I tried using this mount with just the suction it would fail in minutes - it would fail because my dash has too much flex in it. So I tried the metal plate that sticks to the dash to give the Mount something solid to grip onto - I have had no issues since. Going on a week and some change and it is still holding on like a beast. A newer and much lighter tablet is going to be like a feather to this excellent tablet mount. If you had reservations about purchasing this guy, don't worry, it's an amazing product and highly adjustable to boot.
5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Perfect mount for the 12.2 Samsung Galaxy Note. 2 de julio de 2016

The perfect dash mount that can actual fit a 12.2 Samsung Galaxy Note. But it barely fits. If the tablet was 2 millimeters bigger it would not fit. Had a 10.5 Samsung S that easily fit. The suction is very good. It has no problem sticking to the dashboard of my Honda Accord. But if you let the mount sit in the sun for a few hours, it will lose its suction. I assume you can also fit a Surface Pro tablet since its right at 12 inches. Just research the height dimension of the Samsung 12.2 and that is max height this mount can fit. Also they make 2 sizes of this mount. Make sure you order the larger one.
1.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Poorly adapted to curved dashboards 16 de mayo de 2014
Por Kelly M. Cassidy - Publicado en Amazon.com

My Chevy Uplander van has a dashboard that is curved in front. It flattens towards the window. The horizontal arm of the mount is very short and does not come close to reaching the flat part of the dashboard. The suction cup did not work on the non-smooth dashboard surface, so I used the sticky pad. The sticky pad is flat and so only a small part of the pad is in contact with the curved surface of the dashboard. It makes for a precarious mount.

I considered returning the mount immediately, but really wanted a way to used my iPad for Audible books on a long drive that coming weekend. The attachment to the dashboard has held up for about a month now, through several long drives, but the area of sticky contact with the dashboard is gradually decreasing. I'll probably devise some make-shift way to keep it attached.

The arm that holds the iPad snugs it in place semi-securely. Four attachment points (one on each side) instead of only top and bottom would improve my confidence. The iPad slides out too easily.

Overall, for the price, I expected a much better product. I'll get as much use out of this product as I can, but I'd sure never buy another one or recommend it to anyone.
