5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas An old simple concept that works... 23 de octubre de 2015

Works good with my SPD-SL. Important to make sure the the nose of the wedge does not extend beyond the nose of the cleat so it doe not bunch up when clipping in. (since you clip in nose first)... It is ok if the wedge protrudes on the side and back. No need to trim these. I remember when these first came out (about 15 years ago) and marketed as Big Meat (this is still stamped on the wedges) with Marty Nothstein as the spokes model. Since this is an old product the screws are not allen but phillips which was the standard back then on cleats. I had been using Specialized Body Geometry shoes which has the angle built into the shoe platform... After switching to another shoe, that does not have this angle, I could feel the difference which led me to buying these wedges to give me that needed alignment.

My knees point towards the top tube when I ride and cause a lot of pain. I added two inserts inside each of my shoes (Specialized BG High performance) to add a few degrees of Varus angle. This worked well at saving my knees but then my shoe toe box was too tight and my toes and tops of my feet started to hurt.

I then tried these Bike Fit shims. I am now using these shims along with one BG High performance shim and everything is delightful. I can ride over a 100 miles without knee pain and very little toe pain.

This little slivers of plastic are supposed to work magic for a sore foot. Unfortunately, Merlin didn't show up for me. I tried various combinations and in most cases it made matters worse. I am duck footed and tend to get hot foot on the outside of my right foot. I tried, 1, 2, 3, and even 4 wedges, and did 15-30 mile rides each time. In my case, more was not better and I ended up going back to 2. This helped a little but it may be a placebo effect too. I've managed 100K rides without these pads and I still had a sore foot after 30 miles with these pads. Therefore, I'm not sure if they are actually doing anything or not. I find that good cleat placement tends to help more than anything.

For what they are, thin sheets of plastic, it's hard to fathom why they cost so much. I'll keep running them for a while, then I'll pull them off and see if I can tell a difference. Right now, I could take it or leave it. No magic fix here.

Feedback is directed to SpeedPlay (Cleat Wedge)

Pro:
In compliance its purpose. With that aligns your knees +++++ hight Recommended +++++

Cons:
1- Value $ Very High.
2- Screws do not work when more than 2 (Cleat Wedges).
3- Screws are not quality.
4- They should bring more screws (different length)

Other thoughts:
I leave 3 star without screws can not be mounted (very short 14mm) I need screws 17mm hard to obtain) screws had to look elsewhere (3 hours of my time)

But despite all I highly recommend +++++
But you have to look screws 2 to 4 mm longer
