Biografía del autor
Conrad Carlberg started writing about Excel, and its use in quantitative analysis, before workbooks had worksheets. As a graduate student he had the great good fortune to learn something about statistics from the wonderfully gifted Gene Glass. He remembers much of it and has learned more since-and has exchanged the discriminant function for logistic regression-but it still looks like a rodeo. This is a book he has been wanting to write for years, and he is grateful for the opportunity. He expects to refer to it often while running his statistical consulting business.

These are some of the nerdiest terms ever. I feel like I could go and be friend the computer nerds now since I could communicate with them. It's confusing the first few chapters then you kind of pick up what the author is saying after that so it gets easier. Don't get discouraged!!! data stuff doesn't come easy for ANYBODY!
I actually think the author did a better job of explaining statistical concepts than how to apply them using Excel, and his explanation of the Excel's statistical functions was very good. He also details the subtle but important differences between similar excel functions such as STDEV vs STDEVP.
Excel is an underrated statistical tool and perhaps the most widely used statistical analysis tool today. If you want to enhance your abilities to utilize Excel's statistical tools, then this book is great.
One note, if you have no previous understanding of statistical concepts, this book may baffle you and I recommend reading upon a beginning statistical book (or take a course). But if you want a statistical refresher, then this book is a great choice.
