Me ha encantado este libro. Las recetas están muy cuidadas y vienen acompañadas de unas fotografías espectaculares. Trae muchas técnicas y trucos diferentes que suponen un soplo de aire fresco en la tendencia de muchas blogueras de escribir un libro y no aportar nada diferente a las recetas de su blog. Este libro sorprende y atrapa desde la primera página. Sin duda una muy buena compra.

One of my favorite cake artists! Even if you aren't up to some of the elaborate decorating this book contains, the recipes alone are well worth purchasing the book for. The black midnight cake is rich, dark, and moist. Attached is a picture of a cake I made from this book.

This is one of the most incredibly organized and beautifully photographed bake books I have ever purchased. I have made three or four of Rosie's recipes, always with amazing success. As a professional custom wedding and celebration cake artist, I appreciate her aesthetic and flavor combinations. OBSESSED with this book!!!! :)

I’m loving this gorgeous book, it's so much fun just to browse through, total eye candy! While there is certainly a lot of gorgeous, grown up cakes, since I run a children’s party business, I was especially drawn to the fun children’ recipes. My kids love the chalkboard cookies with edible chalk, I think that idea would work especially well at an art party. And the Cotton Candy Cloud Cookies are so whimsical and pretty! There’s lots of sprinkles throughout, even homemade ones that you make using royal icing. I’ve already tried the Rainbows and Sprinkles cake, with six layers and colorful sprinkles pressed into the side. I made it for Easter, so I went a little more pastel, but it still turned out beautiful! My son has a space themed birthday coming up and I really want to try the Blue Moon Dream Cake with purple ombre frosting and tiny edible stars decorating it. I really liked the resource section in the back, with basic recipes and techniques explained in extremely clear and easy to follow instructions with photos. I’m new to a lot of decorating techniques, so I learned a lot from her expert tips, including how to work with fondant. The three ingredient Shiny Chocolate Glaze is one of my favorite recipes now, I’ve used it on cookies and cupcakes and I’m looking forward to using it on brownies, too. Fantastic book!

I admit it, I was hesitant on this book. I mean, how many baking books does a girl need? Turns out I'm never going to let this one go! The ideas are so clever! The first thing I flipped to when I got the book was the Pop Rock Robots: little chocolate robots filled with Pop Rocks and spray painted with edible silver paint. I went nuts! There are so many contemporary ideas, for all ages. I love the chalkboard cake (everything chalk is so in right now, I know brides will love this!) You could literally plan entire parties around the Painted Mini Cakes or Rainbow Doodle Cookies. Most everything is made from scratch, but some ready made ingredients are used in some recipes to cut down on time and labor. The tips in the How To section had me literally smacking my forehead, how I've never thought of using another cake pan to flatten the tops of my cakes right out of the oven is beyond me. I'd never heard of Rosie Alyea or her blog (also called Sweetapolita) but I will have to check out her other recipes and ideas.
