1.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas A Total Piece of Junk 30 de abril de 2011

I've had and used the machine for 2 months; so I wanted to revise my original review.

This machine is a total PIECE OF JUNK.

I bought it for light personal use, intending to create a few photo albums of my digital photos. After only 2 months, it just went in the trash can.

From day one, two of the dies that punch the holes tended to stuck. Sometimes, they would rip the page as I tried to remove the paper. Finally, they got to the point that those dies wouldn't punch the holes at all.

I paid very careful attention to inserting the paper; but I still about a 30% rate of mispunched pages. I finally broke down and bought prepunched paper ($12.99 for 500 sheets from Staples); but that was cheaper than the cost of reprinting dozens of pages of photos.

The machine is rated for 8 pages per punch. Don't believe it ... 4 pages is a more realistic figure. Even when it was brand new, it struggled to punch through 2 sheets of card stock (which I was using for my photo album covers).

Save your money and buy another system. I sure wish I had done so!

This will punch two, maximum three sheets of copy paper at a time, however it will not punch a clear plastic cover at all because apparently the punches are not sharp enough. Do not buy this.

1.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF GARBAGE 29 de agosto de 2015

This is the biggest waste of money ever. This should be a simple mechanical design to serve a basic, easily satisfied function. Punch holes in paper and bind them into plastic coils. Some overpaid engineer, I'm sure, apparently thought it would be a brilliant idea to put a black plastic covering over the machine that you actually have to align the paper into the hole punch. As a result, you're forced to attempt to punch holes into the paper completely blind, unable to see if you've probably lined the paper to the prongs so that you won't have your document falling apart in the coil. On top of that, it's nearly impossible to actually fit a very small stack of papers (the documentation says 9 sheets, but I had trouble using even one sheet) under the prongs in the first place. What I ended up managing was bending up the edges of my paper, punching a few wholes in some that were improperly lined to the edge so they couldn't hold in the plastic coils, and I gave up after binding only about 20 pages of a 90 page document because the practice was so tedious and imprecise that to do it properly I would have to print several copies of my documents to replace the pages that weren't properly punched in the first place. I'm an historian, not an engineer, but I'm rather confident I could quite easily design a better machine than this piece of junk, if only because the bar has been set so ridiculously low.

2.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Quality just not there 29 de diciembre de 2010

This has not turned out to be a very quality product. It says up to 8 sheets of paper may be punched at once, but really only about 4-5 is the limit. Even then it is difficult to get them inserted and lined up properly. Once the punching is completed, the lock to hold the combs open broke after only about 5 bindings. All in all, we found the quality of this product to be poor.
