Alright, so I can't believe how good thing thing is for the amount it costs! Actually scratch that - I can't believe how good this thing is, period!

Oh and I want to clarify that this is a review of the Hall of Fame Mini - I think both versions are listed as one here, so you know which one I'm referring to

Yeah, so I have a smaller practice guitar rig that I use when I don't feel like setting up my main rig plus pedalboard. The rig consists of an Orange Micro Terror and an Ibanez 1x12 cab, and it sounds great; but for me, the cleans always sound a bit boring without a bit of reverb. So I was hunting for a reverb pedal. As this is a practice rig and everything about it is compact (and cheap), I was looking for a mini-pedal for around $50 or so. I found a couple that fit the bill, but every review said they sounded 'alright' or 'good but a bit digital' and so on i.e. decent but not great

Since my Micro Terror sounds really good, I thought it deserved something better, and already having other TC pedals on my main pedalboard, I decided to up my budget a few dollars and get the Hall of Fame mini. And thank goodness I did!

Like I already said, it's hard to believe just how good this thing sounds - but what's equally hard to believe is the sheer variety of reverb sounds that you can get using this tiny pedal plus a smartphone or tablet. It's astounding! From the superb, authentic spring reverb (check out Robben Ford's Spring Fever toneprint) to huge, almost delay-like hall and plate reverbs, there's no reverb sound this pedal can't deliver. And like I just mentioned, it can substitute a delay pedal in some instances i.e. for a lead solo sound and such quite easily. Amazing!

The only downsides are that you need a smartphone to switch between toneprints - with this size and price, I'm not complaining - and it needs a separate 9v adapter to work. A 1Spot works fine if you have one, or just order a Planet Waves adapter for $9 along with this

Yeah, this pedal is worth a lot more than $75 that I paid for it. It sounds amazing, it's got a million different sounds, it's built really well, it's true bypass, and can always be found for under $90. The only other pedal I'd recommend you'd get over this may just be the regular Hall of Fame, as it has around 9 built-in sounds which you can access without your phone, along with a few more controls. Other than that, the HOF Mini is outstanding! I'm gonna get one more (or the regular HOF) for my main pedalboard too

This pedal is brilliant! I wish there were more pedals with this simple, customizable concept.

This tiny little thing can be modified on a computer to dial in the exact type of reverb you are looking for. I use it for my acoustic guitar. I created a reverb based on the "room" default setting. I made the knob control the decay time: At 25% it gives a .75 second decay. 50% 1.5 second. 75% 3 seconds. When I put it at 100% I have it providing a 10 second decay and some slight modulation providing a rich pad-like sound that I use for acoustic guitar.

The clarity of the sound is really nice. I was looking for something very natural sounding and non-tone-zapping since I use it for acoustic. I messed with some of the other presets and I thought they were not as natural sounding compared to other more expensive reverb pedals. it shipped with the Ambient preset. So if you aren't digging that, hook it up to your computer or use the tone print phone app to find something you like.

I wish the knob was easier to control with my foot, but I bought a $4 rubber knob cover made by another company that I'm hoping will help with that.

This is the first and only TC Electronic product I've ever purchased. I watched the Youtube demos and liked what I heard. It has exceeded my expectations. The reverb sounds are heavenly with plenty of control to tweak. The Toneprint feature is amazing. I downloaded "Church of Andy" preset from the TCE website and just love that patch. Downloading is quick and easy. I created a folder on my computer and dowloaded all the available Hall of Fame patches so whenever I want to change it out, I don't even have to go on the Internet to get it. There is an iPhone/iPod4gen app where you can transfer the patches directly through you guitar to you pedal. Don't ask me how it works, but it does. I will probably buy more TC Electronic pedals in the future.

5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Flashback and Corona) and it's just as good and feature laden as those other effects 21 de enero de 2015

This is my fourth TC Toneprint pedal (I also have the Vortex, Flashback and Corona) and it's just as good and feature laden as those other effects.

The decay and tone knob are pretty standard controls for a reverb unit, and I really like that the wet signal can be controlled via the FX Level control; incase you want to lessen, or increase, the intensity of the effect. The mini toggle gives a long or short pre-delay, which is great for fine tuning certain types of reverbs, and helps too add to the versatility of this pedal.

The included reverb types are what really sold me on this particular pedal. There are just so many! I won't run through them all, but you can go from a classic spring or plate reverb, to a short, small room reverb on the tile setting, to a long, big room reverb using the church setting. Mix in some long or short pre-delay, and you can get some really cool and useful sounds.

The toneprint feature of course is where this becomes infinitely versatile, especially now that TC has released the free tone print editor. I almost got one of the brand exclusive versions of this so I could get the bigger cathedral reverb, but it's easily obtainable through the pre-made tone prints that you can get on your PC or smartphone. So you can either make your own, or choose from TCs library of artist created presets, and you'll get more sounds than just the ones that are pre-loaded.

Like all of TCs toneprint series, these pedals are rugged, there are stereo ins/outs and you'll be hard pressed to find a reverb that you don't like with this. I haven't demoed this against any other reverbs out there, but I can't see myself needing anything else as I doubt there's a suitable replacement, especially at this price point.
5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas One of the top reverbs out there! 14 de abril de 2017

I have a Fender Blues Jr (NOS) amp and it is a great amp, but the reverb on it is pretty weak. Don't take my word for it, just google people replacing the stock reverb tank on Blues Jr amps.

I was listening to some older Elvis and Johnny Cash one day and was really struck by the reverb on the recording ("That's All Right (Mama)" was the song if you are curious). I tried turning the reverb on the Blues Jr to 12, and I was nowhere near close to the sound I wanted. So I started reviewing reverb pedals and at the top of most lists were this one and the various Holy Grail reverbs from Electro-Harmonix. I have a friend who has one of the EHX reverbs, so I gave that a spin and it does a really great job. In fact, I think the Holy Grail is the best reverb pedal out there if you're looking for the best spring reverb. However, the spring reverb on the Hall of Fame is still very good, and there are 10 other modes to use. I think the added flexibility is what put this one over the top for me.
