If you're a fan of UFC, this is a fun little game that delivers an entertaining experience that does a good enough job of trying to mimic the real deal.

Pros: - Great selection of fighters, but most will stick to Jones, because he rises above all others in terms of stats.
- Create-A-Fighter gives the player a chance to customize their character, with lots of choices on hair, complexion, fitness, etc. for a unique experience. You can even make your own tattoos or banner.
- Career Mode is very entertaining and keeps you coming back to advance your custom character through the ranks.
- Lots of decisions between matches affect the stats of your character, such as the training you choose or if you choose to advance any moves, etc.
- Great atmosphere, both visual and auditory.

Cons: - THQ is no more, and the servers for this game have been shut down because of it (along with its age).
- Slow loading between everything, and the amount of clicks it takes to start the game and get to the fighting ends up costing at least 10 minutes. This adds up and ends up discouraging play due to the time you're giving up scrolling through the menus.
- Mini-games are confusing, and you will have a hard time trying to figure out exactly what they want you to do. They also get repetitive and stressful, and you are punished for skipping them by getting lower stat gains, sometimes losses, instead of manual play.

UFC Undisputed 3 is "BIGGER. BADDER. BETTER" that should have been the tagline for this years game instead of being wasted on that WWE crap. THQ was pissing me off with the long wait time. First they take a year off, cool, if your going to take a year off to get things right then I am good with that. Then they set a release date for Jan. 3rd of this year but then push the game back to the 14th of Feb. Now after playing the game it was worth the wait. Career mode doesn't have that annoying stat decay. Gameplay feels more fluid. Submissions (even though the big octagon covering the screen looks stupid) are more easier to pull off and it doesn't feel like the game is cheating you out. Pride mode is fun as hell. Shogun Rua is one of my favorite fighters of all time and being able to soccer kick someone's head in brings back memories. Well worth the 60 for this and I hate THQ but they got this game right. Could it be better? Yeah, but I ain't complaining.

This is by far the greatest UFC game to have been released. The roster, move list and game mode selections are all phenomenal. Unfortunately as some may know THQ the company that made this game has gone out of business, and the company that has taken over the franchise (EA Sports) has opted to not support the servers or DLC. What this means is that there is ZERO online capabilities. You can't get any of the "Bonus" fighters, and the online pass issued with the game shows up as already used because all DLC has been removed from the PS Store/Market place. This may not be a huge deal to everyone, but for some people like myself its quite annoying because it makes it impossible to get a platinum trophy due to the fact that one or more of the trophies/achievements is related to online play. So if you want to get this game to play online you must pass because its not possible. However the gameplay is excellent and if you got friends into UFC as well it makes for a fun time.

Im gonna list the pros and cons here

Very complete game, lots of takedowns and transitions
Lots of fighters and weightclasses
Fluid dynamic
Different game modes gives ppl a lot to do

Wayyyy to slow, the loading, savings, startup.. takes forever to play, to pass from diferent menus.... its extremly annoying
If you play in advance mode, the transitions are not well explained.
The carreer mode gives you only 50 fights, you are forced to retire by the time your fighter is 28 years old and cant reach max potential.
Its kindda easy to TKO oponents from the mount, 2 hammer fist hits and he is gone

If you're a fan of UFC, then you will like this game. It is very true to what UFC is about. You must train, learn a moveset and get very good with it, and most of all, be patient when fighting - pick the right time to go in for the KO. This game is not very easy. Sure you may win 4 or 5 fights in a row - particularly when you're just starting off with low-level opponents. However, should you get cocky you'll soon be face-down on the canvas. You really can win or lose at any time in any fight in this game. One wrong move at the wrong time and you could end up on your back getting pummeled or find yourself in an unescapable arm bar. That's what I think makes this game so good. You can't simply build a dominant fighter and just dominate everyone. I mean, if you get good enough you will certainly win your fair share of contests. However, there is always that chance that you can be KO'd as well. This adds to the eexcitement level in my opinion. This game isn't for everyone, though. There is a fairly steep learning curve relative to the complete moveset. There are a LOT of moves. It's not just punches and kicks - we're talking sweeps, takedowns, posturing, recovering, blocking, submissions...there is SO much to absorb in the beginning. I played through the tutorial three times before the majority of it sank in. This may turn some people off - particularly those who are used to games like Fight Night, that have 5 or 6 moves total. True UFC fans will enjoy this game. I know I do.

- Large roster of UFC fighers
- Large stable of movesets
- Nice player progression
- Very nice graphics
- Very realistic and true to UFC
- Hours upon hours of entertainment value

- Steep learning curve in terms of movesets
- Lower level fighters tend to be easy, then all of the sudden the competition is overly difficult. There is no "mid-level". Thus, you really have to teach yourself well early on in the game (career mode)
