cons....with the right circumstances the tip of this stylus can make those funny squeaking noises when you are using it. the end is that very smooth almost shiny tip to it. i had another stylus with a almost soft rubber bristle tip, which didn't make any noise at all when writing. so a super clean screen can make it squeak or a bit too much oil/dirty screen will do it as well. i would suggest having a screen protector, which eliminates the squeaking problem, which only happened when it was the bare glass screen.
For drawing, it works great. I notice when I first touch it to the screen there is a slight lag in sensing the tip of it before the iPad registers its presence. This lag does not seem to be tied to the amount of pressure I'm applying, meaning, if I press harder there is still a lag (obviously if you press too lightly it won't get it at all). I have a few different drawing apps I'm playing with and it works well with all of them. I use it to sketch notes in meetings, or draw different designs for a technical project, as well as doing random sketches. I love this stylus!
After a week of using the stylus I added a protective screen for my iPad. The stylus works great with the screen protector, although the slight lag I mentioned above may have started when I added the screen protector. I expected some loss of sensitivity after I added it but other than the lag, I haven't noticed any other difference.
In other reviews I've read that the tip doesn't last very long. I think if you're just tapping away with it to click buttons or keys it will last longer, but the extended rubbing of the tip for drawing probably will wear it down faster. I'll see how long this first one lasts and then probably order a 3-pack next time - I don't mind if it doesn't last forever, I think it would be difficult to come up with a material for the tip which would both work properly AND be extremely durable. With my iPad my plan is to not use pens and notebooks for taking notes and making sketches and the stylus helps achieve that, which means its cost, to me, is completely offset in not having to keep replacing notebooks, pens, and colored pencils.
(Please note: My boss purchased a different type of stylus which has a more rubbery tip. The iPad does NOT respond to that other stylus very well at all - too much friction. After trying my Pogo stylus he is ordering this one and tossing the other one.)
