It's good for those with full suspension bikes but after a while the rubber size adapter pieces deteriorate after about a year making them rip apart when you try to remove them from the two haves of the seat post clamp halves. The rubber size adapters mount to the seat clamps using a socket style system but I prefer the traditional rubber size adapters. Also another annoying thing about this rack is you need to buy pannier frames separately if you want to use side panniers. The seat post clamp makes it hard to mount a tail light unless you use your trunk bag tail light mount or replace the racks reflector with a light adapter. Still a pretty good rack just be aware of those problems when owning a rack like this. Recommended for full suspension bikes mostly.
The only issue I had is that when fully loaded (20lb) with the mtx bag and panniers, and because there is no connection to the seat stays or the chain stays, there is a lot of wobble when you get up out of the saddle. In fact, anything over 5 mph is really almost impossible. I did 6000 ft. of climbing and couldn't get up out of the saddle even once without wobbling. I might try using velcro straps to the chain stays next time to reduce the lateral sway, but I doubt it will work. The rack doesn't swing back and forth, it's very well connected to the seat post, but the lateral flexing under load is very pronounced.
If you plan on doing hardcore camping I'd get the pannier rack that mounts to the frame if you can. If you are a commuter, this is probably going to be just fine.
I'm very happy with the product, and had a great time camping!
-Seems to be built very well and I feel could hold more weight then they say
-like the interchangeable end pieces to hold reflector or light
-has built in straps which could be good if you don't have anything else to tie down with
-has different rubber plates for attaching to different size seat posts
-I think it could clamp down better to the seat post. Not sure how but wish it did
