This book can really cause a change for good in your life. I know it did for me.
David finds his life to be in a major crisis by the time he is middle aged, and has lost his well-paying job. Finding another job paying what he was making is out of question, but he finally finds a job with a hardware story as a clerk. His wife calls him at work to explain their daughter needs an operation, and it only cost eleven hundred dollars. He explains to her he understands, but has matched out his credit cards, and don't know how they will come up with the money. His boss is standing by him when he hangs up, and tells David he can pick up his final check the following Friday. He has been fired for taking personal calls at work.
Broken hearted and not knowing what to do, he drives around hoping to get his thoughts together. He isn't focusing on the road conditions, loses control and crashes his car on an iced covered bridge.
He is transformed into history and gets a message written as a letter from all-time greats like President Lincoln and Harry Truman. Albert Einstein passes along helpful advice. His travels cover seven rules of life that David, including us, should follow. I found it to be an eye opener book.
