It is not a "third party made skin" that fits incorrectly.
It fits perfectly and I love it.
IT SUPER SILENCES the Keyboard >> Which I really love >> so NO ONE can hear me type when I am on the Phone or presentation with them. I used to give a lot of presentations/webinars on the computer and the other keyboard was a Cherry MX Blue keyboard which made much more noise.
I also used to like the little clicky-clack of MX Blue but silent is better for many other reasons also. Now I can do late night work without waking up anyone. :D
That may be a PRO or a Con depending on you. For me it is a PRO.
Another great thing that the skin does is add some "TRACTION" ( if I may use that word ) to the keys.. ! :) The skin pad is pure silicone and it kind of adds some "grip" to the keys when you type on them >> So you get a more positive key press. BUT >> that added benefit is only after you get used to the typing on the skin. It will take a little bit ( like 2 weeks of typing ) and you will prefer the skin over just the plain keyboard.
Atleast that is what it was for me. :D
I ORDERED THE DVORAK KEYBOARD :D and a Qwerty skin. So that I can type and practice on DVORAK when I needed to but then just put on the skin and be back at QWERTY when I need to write a huge email.
I then ordered THIS DVORAK SKIN COVER and have been typing on it since. :D
NOW thinking back I would have ordered just the QWERTY Keyboard and a DVORAK skin. and saved my self some money. Because I can just touch type Qwerty without looking and I just leave the DVORAK one on ALL the time.
Then I just hit the little Fn and Dvorak key combo on the keyboard to switch it over to Dvorak when ever I want to practice Dvorak.
I am still learning Dvorak but it is good to just be able to switch back and forth on this keyboard when ever I want to. :D
SO FINAL WORDS and Recommendations:
If you can FULLY FULLY Touch type on Qwerty without looking at all>>> I would suggest just get the TM 2030 keyboard and a Dvorak Skin and don't look at the keys when you type. :)
You don't need to buy a Qwerty skin if ou can fully touch type.
The skin SEALS the Keyboard completely and doesn't move and fits it like a glove >> in that sense it is also fantastic. It DEFINITELY keeps it perfectly clean and sealed from dust and hand 'micro skin cells' and debris.
It only comes in black which kinda sucks >>> a Royal Blue or some other colors would be cool >>> but it doesn't matter at all :D the black still looks great. I am just nitpicking and they are a small company so they can't really afford any superfluous orders like that. They can't afford ordering 1000 reds, and 1000 blue and 1000 black and then have hardly any one buy the blue and the reds.. ;p
The keyboard is freakin awesome and fantastic. I use it everyday
and
the skin is awesome also. I also use it everyday.
