4.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Excellent value? Time will tell... 9 de mayo de 2012

*****June 20 2012 update*****
Well, I can say that the Jeweler (in Kentucky!) that AMAZON uses for their watch repairs is excellent. I got the watch BACK two weeks after I sent it out. Considering they tell you to expect 6-8 weeks, this is OUTSTANDING! And while it was there being repaired, I called them and asked if they could tweak the timing as it was running ~10 sec fast/day. They were more than willing to do so and told me that timing it was part of their normal service. Now it is running within about 2 sec per day. WOW. That repair guy is GOOD. Hopefully it stays working like this. 'Time' will tell...

Did I jinx myself with that review below from May 9?? This watch just stopped this weekend. Slapping it got it started but it just stopped the next day. It now does NOT hack when the crown is pulled all the way out to set the time and DOES hack (stop) when it is pushed back in!!! Not a happy camper right now. Can't you get a decent automatic for under $1500??? It is well within the warranty, and I did buy it from Amazon, so we'll see how they honor their warranty.... more to come.

I got this watch for under $500, so I can't really complain much. However, there are a few nits I will pick with it. First, the PVD coating is not perfectly even (somewhat mottled), esp on the bezel. Also, there was a (albeit very small) clump of coating on the crown that bugged me so I picked it off. And under 10x mag, i can see that the hour indicies are not perfectly filled with lume, there's some spillage. These are all things you can NOT see with the naked eye and don't affect the function, but for a $1200 watch (retail) i expected more.

more importantly, when the stem is pulled out, it is very wiggly. it does not inspire alot of confidence in it's durability. i am very careful when i wind it or change the date or time. not as secure as my TAG. good thing it screws in very securely.

as for the looks, it is beautiful. the blue dial is much more rich than the photos show. i was worried it would look like a toy....not at all. as for time, it is about 10 sec fast/day. not too bad, but considering it is an "upgraded ETA" movement over the one in my TAG (which keeps excellent time) again i was expecting more. Rubber band is very thick but relatively compliant. much more so than the polyurethane one on my Seiko diver. lume is excellent, better than my TAG.

overall, very happy with the purchase, esp considering the price. have had it for 3 months now and no problems.

A fine Swiss watch for a great price. I personally love the color combination of the blue dial and strap, PVD case, and the green of the super luminova. The bezel action is top notch. Accuracy of the movement on mine is within COSC specs. The rubber strap is comfortable and contour matches the lugs perfectly. Overall, a great buy. This has become my everyday wear piece for the office.

Pros: Great looking. Easy to read even in total darkness. Has a very substantial and solid feel. Comfortable
for all day wear. Fairly accurate for a non COSC certified watch.

Cons: The rubber strap is a bit difficult to put binds up when trying to slide it through the keepers.
It would be better if it had a deployment clasp. At +10-12 seconds a day it could be more accurate.

So far this is the best watch I have ever owned. It is beautiful and has a very nice movement in it used in some other watches that are much more expensive for example Breitling. Love it. highly recommended

The gunmetal finish is eye catching. The band is comfortable after it has relaxed to my wrist. The glowing dial and hands still are visible in the morning. Time on my unit is accurate to COSC certification levels. I highly recommend this watch.
