UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE (4-2-17)
With the help of the Service Dept I was able to get this running in my Dell .. I have updated the Star rating to a 3 Star from a 1 Star .. if this card would have worked right out of the box and did not give me problems this card would be a 5 star card .. once I was able to get this installed and running right the card has preformed great .. Just be aware this card is a bit finicky when installing it .. Good Luck
UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE (5-2-17)
I am now Down grading this card to a 2 .. After a hard time installing the card drivers and running it for a month this card started shutting down on me .. all my screens would go black and when they came back on there would be an error balloon in the lower right of my primary screen saying that the AMD Video Drive suffered from a Malfunction or I would get the BSOD and my Computer would do a dump and restart .. i have sense removed the card and have gone back to my original card until I can find a suitable replacement .. Also when trying to Remove the AMD Drivers and Programs I had to use the Safe Mode to remove them otherwise it was BSOD .. Not a Happy Camper to be useing this product at our Legion!!! Buyer Beware use at your own risk.
I have read reviews of this card and some people complain that it is too expensive for what it offers, but the primary consideration was that my power supply only puts out 255 watts and this runs on as little as 250 watts and I need at least one analogue port for my KVM switch. Try to find cards with low power supply requirements and you'll understand what I am talking about.
I found and solved the driver issue. Apparently, my computer has a sound driver for the graphics, even though the graphics outputs are analogue. It's probably part of the unused displayports that my onboard graphics has. What I needed to do was to re-install the onboard graphics video driver, even though I disabled it in the bios, because I just rely on the AMD graphic card. I am bumping it back up to five stars. I probably would have paid $500 for this card if I needed to, it's that valuable to me.
I went to three 24" Dell U2412M LED monitors and it still works great! I am running out of space on my desk to hold them all. I'll need a bigger desk to add a fourth, however, if I turn the onboard graphics back on, I could have a total of seven monitors. What would I do with all that screen real estate? Anyway, no device errors present, no flickering, just bright consistent video. This card is a real winner and I would have gladly paid $500, more than what I originally paid for the computer, but that's because it works on a 250 watt power supply.
I have run into another issue with the card. I'll still give it five stars, for now, because I found a workaround solution. The issue only occurs when running Firefox. Firefox turns off Aero when moving tabs between monitors. After I reboot Aero returns. To solve this issue I have had to turn off hardware acceleration in Firefox, though I can still use hardware acceleration in Internet Explorer and Chrome. I am using the latest AMD driver. Not sure whether this problem can be resolved by Mozilla or AMD, and why it is happening. Again, I only got this card because of the minimal power supply requirements.
I purchased this and followed the instruction manual perfectly. When that did not work, and there was no input going from the card to my monitors, I called VisionTek's support line at 11:30 AM CST on a Monday. After having me on hold for several minutes, an automated message informed me their offices were closed, before going on to add that per their hours they should be open.
I called back the next day. The tech support professional's only trouble shooting suggestion was to talk to Dell. After speaking with Dell and following their instructions, the card still did not work.
If you have time to kill, may I suggest video games or a book, not wasting your time on this product.
I have this plugged into my motherboard that supports 2 PCI-E video cards. I'm running a total of 6x 24" monitors. My other video card is a GeForce. Both Radeon and GeForce drivers work perfectly together in Windows 7 Pro.
