5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas part of a great pocket knife tradition 19 de abril de 2016

This is a great little brother to the much larger, full-size Case Copperlock. Did I mention that this Mini Copperlock is considerably smaller than the full size model? Both sizes are identical in overall design and build quality (I now own both, although in different handle colors). The full size version is a real hand-full, in that it has a much longer and slightly wider handle, longer and wider blade and I use it a lot as a folding kitchen knife because the full size model is a bit large for an everyday pocket knife, in my opinion. I guess the full size would be a good everyday carry knife if you worked with livestock or needed to occasionally prune fruit trees or cut open bags of cement during the course of your workday. If you have an office job and want a much less obtrusive knife, the Mini is probably more your choice. The Mini is more of your everyday box tape cutter, orange peeler, apple slicer blade. Just the thing for cutting adverts or coupons out of print publications or punching thru those pesky tinfoil seals on a variety of food packaging.
This is not to suggest that the Mini is poorly made or inferior in quality. Nope, it's a first-rate knife. Nor is it so small as to be useless or overly limited in its applications. I really like the Mini, and will almost certainly carry it with me much more often than I would the full size model. It's a great knife born of a long (Case) tradition, and I'd be proud to take it out of my pants pocket anywhere (except at the airport, of course).

5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas USA Quality Made! 13 de septiembre de 2014

This knife is a 100% USA made high quality knife. The Bermuda green color bone handles on this knife are beautiful to see. (A green & blue color mixed in with a touch of black accent),about 3.5 inches long folded, about 6 5/8" long locked open by around 5/16" thickness,(which make for a slim locking pocket knife.) An all stainless steel Case XX knife blade; length of around 2 5/8"! Mine came razor sharp. Limited lifetime warranty & almost too pretty to use.
PS: No blade wobble or imperfections at all. Highly recommended!

It's hard to tell by the photo, but this one is just the right size for a pocket knife. The blade is long enough to easily peel fruit and whittle wood, but not so big as to scare the squeamish people that seem to be growing in number each day.

One nice thing is that I don't even need to use my fingernail to open it. The high point of the back of the cilp point blade sticks up enough to grab ahold of and pull it out.

The blade locks out with a solid click.

The grip doesn't exactly fill the hand, but I can get all four fingers on it.

Compared to the RussLock, this one is thinner and lighter, but has the same size blade. This one is not one-handed like the RussLock, but it is notably lighter and thinner in the grip.

The PocketWorn series' seem to be a little better finished than the regular series, but the jigging is not as deep, and not as easy to grip.

After having them both, I find myself gravitating more toward this one than the RussLock.

It is a little bigger in the pocket than the Peanut and small toothpick; I always know it's there, where the Peanut and Small Toothpick just seem to disappear in the pocket.

Anyway, this is a great knife, if you want something bigger than a Peanut but smaller than a full size lock-blade.

4.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas The locking mechanism feels very sturdy and locks in place with a solid click 23 de julio de 2016

Received the knife yesterday and right out of the box I can see its very high quality. The finish is smooth - I cannot feel any edges from the metal end bolsters across to the bone handle, even at the corners. Nor can I feel the rivets holding the bone handles on. The locking mechanism feels very sturdy and locks in place with a solid click. I have owned a few pocket knives in the past but the last few I purchased did not seem to last or I was not completely satisfied with them. These included Kershaw, Gerber, Smith & Wesson and Buck. Quality built this knife blows the rest clean out the water.

The reason I did not give this knife 5 stars is because of the blade. It just feels thin, I would have like it to have more of a backbone and thicker. Although I have to say the entire folded knife is indeed pretty thin which makes it a great and unobtrusive fit in the pocket, I would prefer just a touch more heft especially to the blade. But I would not let that stop me from buying another. Just based on the quality that I see and feel with this knife, Case has me as a solid customer. If I ever need to purchase another knife, it will be a Case.

4.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Another fine knife from Case... 15 de abril de 2016

This is my second Case knife. Unlike my first, the Mini-CopperLock, this knife had a factory defect. Upon unboxing I noticed the Case emblem was not seated properly in the bone handle. Also there was a substantial amount of red enamel paint visible on the bottom and left edges of the emblem. I would guess that some paint spilled over on the edges and dried before the emblem was fitted to the handle. I carried the knife very carefully for the next several days and sure enough the emblem fell out. The emblem itself was not damaged. I carefully removed the excess paint, and loosened the dried epoxy from the oval cutout in the handle. I then test fitted the emblem in the cutout. It was now a perfect fit. The emblem sat flush inside the bone handle as it should have. A few drops of Loctite super glue gel and the repair was complete. My new CopperLock is now the work art it was intended to be. I'm surprised this got past Case's QC people, but I suppose it can happen.
