Reseña del editor
The bestselling author of Your Erroneous Zones, Pulling Your Own Strings, and Wisdom of the Ages combines psychological insights and guidelines for achieving spiritual fulfillment to present a three-step program designed to help readers look inside themselves to find a new sense of self-awareness and spiritual joy. Developing the sacred self, Wayne Dyer explains, brings an understanding of our place in the world and a sense of satisfaction in ourselves and others. In Your Sacred Self, Dyer offers a program that helps listeners establish a spiritually-oriented, rather than an ego-oriented, approach to life. Step by step, Dyer shows us how to progress from emotional awareness to psychological insight to spiritual alternatives in order to change our experience of life from the need to acquire to a sense of abundance; from a sense of one's self as sinful and inferior to a sense of one's self as divine; from a need to achieve and acquire to an awareness that detachment and letting go bring freedom. Your Sacred Self is an inspiring, hopeful, illuminating guide that can help everyone live a happier, richer, more meaningful life.Ver Descripción del producto

Wayne is now part of the eternal spirit, but he left behind a guide for others to follow. Wayne was to first to admit his human shortcomings, so I can relate to his words on a more personal than many other spiritual teachers who write from a more formal background.
This book is one of the best of Wayne's earlier works; I have bought several copies and given them as gifts to friends and family - I have also bought the audio version for those who claimed that they had no time to read. "Life changing" is an understatement as a description of this book and the overall lesson contained between the covers. No wonder it is still in print after over a decade. It begins with the words "You have been looking the wrong way." - and goes on to address many of the personal issues that confront people in everyday life. It gives insight on re-evaluating one's life and overcoming negative issues while helping the reader to find truer purpose to one's own life. Wayne gives several examples of how he overcame many of the personal things that were keeping him from full enjoyment of life. These included everything from lying and deception, to entitlement, to depression, and even substance abuse.
This book is for everyone no matter what their religious preference, while it includes both eastern and western philosophy - if focuses on the similarities of faiths and practices rather than the differences. That is to say - it works toward bringing people together in their ideology rather than dividing them, which is truly the fundamental underpinning of most major religions when one gets right down to it.
I have given this book or the audios to people that I know who are in personal crisis, people fighting addictions, and people recovering from major maladies, I can attest that this book and two others of Wayne's have been significant factors in changing at least a few of these lives - dramatically for the better. Keep up your wonderful work Wayne.
